Heres one of my first flash based games , its the classic minesweeper with a brand new look and feel.
It's a bad remake
Wow. Not only does this game come with all computers, but there were no attempts to make it better than the original! If I wanted minesweeper, I'd play Minesweeper!
It doesn't even have all of the features of Minesweeper! You can't right-click to flag a spot, and you can't select difficulty.
Even if it was Minesweeper, I still wouldn't like it. Be creative! Try and come up with a new idea, not redo an old one.
Well to be fair , it is my first game . i was just trying to get a hang of the development environment. As for the controls you cant assign right clicking in flash because it brings up a context menu on windows PCs.
I found this very loyal to the original. You didn't add in anything unecessary, and left the game the way it should be. I only wish there were difficulty options, since I could only ever beat minesweeper on easy XD

I like what you've done with the place. I always used to play Minesweeper when I was bored, but you've given it a new look and feel that makes it a little more fun with the sound effects. Minesweeper was always impossible for me to beat anyway, so I don't mind that I kept losing to this.
Well I've updated the generation code , which should make it a heck of a lot easier to solve. I'm also considering working on different difficulty settings.
It just doesn't feel right. All of the bombs are to spread out and it doesn't look like it does on the real minesweeper. I don't know if you randomize the locations, or if the real minesweeper, does not randomize the location. For example, I did not see in your game that two bombs are close to each other.
The look and feel are very nice, but need work on speed. Some speed clickers might find it too slow.
Also if you make it that if you hold shift and click on a number and all the bombs have been found (aka, if click on three and it has 3 flags next to it) it will open all remaining blocks.
Thanks a lot for the feedback , the mines are randomized but i think i see what you're getting at . the mines are too spread out , i'll look into fixing this soon.
when you say slow do you mean that its lagging or that the controls are kind of weird ?.
edit: i've fixed this problem.
It looks good but how are you supposed to play when there's hardly any open space?
