This is something I made a while ago for school. The animation is very stylized and it is quite old, just watch it and see what you think.

Some people say it has a deep meaningful message; others think it's just relaxing, interpret it however you like.

P.S. The audio is purposely made for this movie, by some of my friends and I.

How could the original audience stand this?

I promise constructivity, however:

Something was definitely off about the way this flash ran- the two guys on the left were only in sync as far as keeping their own beat; after about 4 measures they're shooting out of time to the music! same with what I can assume is shrapnel? or coconuts? flying from the treestand.
Just in case you actually are accomplished in any of the applicable fields, please do mention, because outside of an exceptionally advanced understanding of theoretical, only-on-paper zen coupled with an exceptionally stunted understanding of communication style, could this be a piece of importance.
I'm pretty good at connecting vague dots and figuring out the intent behind a piece, but This is simply too poor quality to be useful except as a collection of artists' mistakes.
It should be redone, from scratch, before it is safe for public viewing.
And, along the lines of communication, noone, absolutely noone who's cosmopolitan enough to accept the message you're trying to communicate with films will put up with that dinging noise. It's just not healthy. Just listening to whatever A-bot's couple songs are on any given week is enough experience for a listener to disregard this.

Seriously, it doesn't seem like you watched your finished product before you posted it. Maybe it's a disparity in the graphics processing, but even so... this needs construction. It's not ready to get positive criticism.

JTricks responds:

Okay, thanks for the constructivity, the bells at the end were not intended to be bells (see below responses), and the graphics are far from perfect (and that's putting it kindly). Mabye I will remake this some day, with the bell sounds changed (if I can figure out how) and the graphics improved. However it is almost a year old so I probably won't, I have new projects I am working on,

Wow, amazing.

I enjoyed it alot the only things i can say to improve upon are:
1. The graphics.
2. The musical syncronization.(Although it was pretty decent)

JTricks responds:

Yes, I agree with you about the graphics, although I did make it last year. And the music synchronization is bad, it's probarbly related to the fact that the frame rate of the flash couldn't perfectly match the beat of the song, or prehaps it's because it's being played over the internet.

Agree with your response to Villin92

I highly doubt he WOULD be able to give any sort of constructive criticism, even if he knew the meaning of the word.

Now for my actualy review XD

I enjoyed it. I mean, I have seen better ones floating around the web, but this one's good too. The only problem I really see is the bell/chime near the end. Kinda threw off the music. It could have worked if they wern't just *dingdingdingdingdingdingdingding...d ingdingding* and maybe spread out more. Like *dindingdin...dingdingding...dingding ding* but that's my opinion. Either way, I'm glad you got an A...but hey, what class was this for? Debate?

JTricks responds:

Thank's for an intelligent review. As I said in the response below, the bells weren't originaly bells, although it would have still been better if they bere more with the beat. The class I was in was actually music, if I can remember correctly from last year, the task was to create a video to the music that we had made, on the subject of war. I can't remember much else, but my class and teacher liked it because of the synchronization with the music (it was better when we played the music directly from the keyboard).

great

it was a great movie but one part made no seance it was at the end when you said that war was hell then war is heaven i don't get what you meant by war is heaven.

JTricks responds:

It is open to interpretation: the war was a terrible thing which killed many people I.E. "Hell", yet the sleeping man was unaffected by it, and to him it was "Heaven".
There is no right or wrong explanation for this, so it may not have made perfect sense to you.

Well it makes a bad thing seem not as bad

I kind of liked it

JTricks responds:

I can see that you understand the meaning of this movie, thanks for the 7/10.
