Lazy Susan is a "collect game" played from a scrolling top view perspective. What makes the gameplay unique is that the playing field is made up of "Lazy Susans" that rotate (or sometimes even move along paths) and influence the player's movement.

This is my second project done in Flex, and was inspired by a trip to a Chinese restaurant (see Lazy Susan on Wikipedia). Everything is drawn using flash.display.Graphics, and figuring out how to draw the "lazy susan pies" using lineTo, curveTo, and some simple trigonometry was quite fun - I was actually able to reuse the code for the balls in Trappit. I added some code that prevents shapes from being drawn when they're outside the screen bounds, but I'm not sure if this was necessary - perhaps the Flash Player does this automatically?

Loved, loved and loved!! This flowed well and the colour was brilliant with an awesome contrast between levels, challenging but fun this was also pretty addictive and paced well in most places though it did seem pretty fast when you picked up speed which made it hard to compete with the time, still a great game :D

Not bad at all! The concept is so original and the graphics and animation are both very bright and smooth.
The quick and fluid gameplay really made this game quite enjoyable to play, not to mention made it more of a challenge.
Overall a very well-made game, nice work. :)

Conceptually great, but not as good as it could be

This game sounds very interesting in the author comments, and I must admit, this is a new idea, and could be great if put to good use. Unfortunately, it comes off like communism - better on paper than in execution.

Don't get me wrong, it's a good game, but that's it. It's just good. It's not really outstanding in any way except the concept. Also the character feels a little bit loose and it's far too easy to lose control and die (happened to me twice on stage one.)

Definitely worth playing, but maybe not twice, maybe not even once all the way through. It's good. That's all there is.

Fun and addictive.

Here is a fun and addictive game, i like the jumping of the platforms, this game kept me wanting to play more and you had some nice colors aswell, very fun game.

Add some effects like when you get a star or something.

Fun game

scriptedfun responds:

Thank you for the good review! :) Yes, perhaps particle effects on the stars would be nice - I'll work on it - thanks for the suggestion! :D

scriptedfun responds:

I'm glad you liked the game! :) I believe you're referring to level 3 - yes, the contrast there isn't as good as it should be - I'll think of a way to fix that - thank you! :D
