I just started learning actionscript over the summer and here's my first game. I didn't want to do another mouse avoider or platformer like most others do on their first game so I did a rhythm game instead.
I've only completed 5 of the levels. I'll do more if people like the concept. Sorry about the crummy menus and backgrounds; If I continue development I'll be sure to upgrade those.

Good for you first game, like you, I just started action script recently, and I must say this game is great. But it is visually unappealing, which really takes a lot away from the game.
Very innovative
I am thinking about making a "first flash game" of my own, and as I was looking for inspiration I found this which I thought was awesome, because you rarely see "first games" actually being different and innovative. It looks like you have the right mindset and motivation to make more games in the future.

an awesome first game. It's very addictive; All I think it needs is a little music and tone down the blue and red to something a bit more suttle.
Overall, I think you did a fine job. You'll go far with this one......vp

interesting gameplay, I liked how you would have to change cursor color for different buttons. But it could really be improved.
