Breakout - classic

Author Comments

A classic game many of you already know.

The big programming in this game is how the ball response to the hits of the walls, bricks and the paddle.

There are 3 levels if you wanted to know :)

Music from the iMovie library.

The original version of Breakout for Atari in 1976 was developed by Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak, before they founded Apple Computer. Wozniak's chip compact design for the game didn't work with Atari's manufacturing process, and so it was scrapped. Versions of Breakout appeared as hidden Easter eggs in many versions of the Mac OS. Even today, it is included on most iPods.

"LEVELS"

Needs more levels. Audio is too repetitive but goes well with the game. Overall I think its good......vp

decent but boring

Well, it's a breakout game that works, which earns points for a start.

But apart from that, there is nothing to keep people interested. Only three levels, no ball speed-up, no power-ups and no special blocks make this one of the dullest breakout games I have ever played.

I would suggest making the ball speed up over time (but PLEASE don't overdo it), adding more levels, and maybe adding a few special blocks, e.g. some that release power-ups, some that require more than one hit to destroy, etc.

You have the ability to make a breakout game, as I have seen. And I'm sure that adding a few features cannot be too hard for you. Good luck if you decide to make a new version.

I agree with you mate, the problem is that I don't have enough time at the moment. But I will look into it.

Thanks for a good review!

God

I love this game I have it on my phone/.

stian7 responds:

Thanks :)

not enough

if you copy an old thing like this, you have to put in something new!
instead, you removed essentials like power- ups......

stian7 responds:

I'm learning. But if you are implying I used Copy Paste on this, you are wrong. What the heck do you learn from Copy Paste???

2/10 is to say: Makes poop looks good. I find that strange, when in your comment it seems you are more saying: Nothing new or interresting.

Classic

I loved it! The original game was good, but the addition of music and the reminder that i have two balls made it better!

Thanks!
