This is the new version of the game Doyu Defense.
The new features of this version are mainly a highscores system, an option to save mazes (then you can share them on the forum or simply see them on your profile), better instructions and some other modifications based on the comments and suggestion that we have received from the users.

Kinda agree with paperwario...

Nice game, and well made. But Im kinda for the original which is NOT xeno tactic. Xeno tactic is also a copy from Desktop TD game, bad thing with it is that its not submitted on NG.

Nice style of the game, I liked it.

Doyu responds:

Thank you.
And by the way, of course the game is not original. We knew it and everyone know (actually many people know DTD).
I am a fan of the defense games and this is why I made my version.

nice game but...

the game itself was not too shabby, but i find it interesting that no matter what i do I'm always #4 on the leaderboards (or i would be if i logged in, which i am encouraged to do) this seems like a shameless tactic to get people to log in. there are better ways to go about doing this, for example making a game that is well balanced and challenging enough to make people WANT to be the best at it... keep trying poser.

Fun, but I'll repeat one of my comments from 1.0

I like it. The instructions are definitely more helpful this time around. But on 1.0 I left a comment about this so I'll repeat it here because it didn't get put into the game this time around either.

For the love of all things holy give me a hotkey to upgrade! I can't click fast enough on the unit then on "Upgrade"! Let me press "U" to upgrade the unit or something.

Other than that I find it fun and challenging. But the upgrade hotkey thing keeps me from wasting too much time on it.

Doyu responds:

Thank you for that about Instructions.
And I agree with you, we should have put the "U" hotkey. A mistake :(

TD games

there are a lot of 'TD' games out there, it is a well known style ( i dont know how to make one though :P) you should aim to make yours stand out, yet not make the basic concept go straight out the window, :)

Wasn't planning on commenting.. But..

Archeris, are you a complete idiot? How is this idea stolen from Xeno Tactic? If you would rate games based on that, you should give every defense game a low score because they were rip offs from the very first defense game.

Okay, lame comments aside; this game is mediocre. Although I did enjoy playing it, a few things could be improved. The first thing I noticed is lack of use for the other turrets/towers. I nearly beat all waves using only the 'normal' turret and creating a very long maze. You should put more emphasis into needing to use the other turrets.

Another thing that bugged me was lack of detail, I really enjoy seeing my turrets change shape and/or color after upgrading them. After upgrading, if you have a lot, it's particularly hard to find which are upgraded and which aren't.

Doyu responds:

Thank you very much for your review.
You are right, I should have put more detail on the upgrades.
Regarding the the lack of use of other turrets, this is true, but only in Normal mode. I imagine you played only Normal or even Training mode. Well, for those mode, yes, only normal towers are need (although you need different towers to obtain a good highscore). The idea is to increase the difficulty in Hard mode, where you really need more Towers. In UltraHard mode you need all of them and a very great strategy. This is the strategy that we thought when we balanced it.

Regards.
