This is a documentary of the ZX Sinclair Spectrum's first year of life, 1982!
I figured that it was time to educate the masses on what the ZX Sinclair actually was.
There'll be a few more of these over the coming weeks.

Thanks to all at for giving me permission to use the footage!
The same can't be said of the record industry who
haven't given me any permission, whatsoever, to use their music.

Oh well.
What the fuck are they gonna do anyway?

Although I did not own a Spectrum, I'm a sucker for the old days so I have to automatically give this high praise. I spent most of time with the Commodore Vic-20, C64, and eventually the Amiga. Of course our exposure to things like this was vastly different in the States. But thats what pirate circles were for, right? :)

All in all, well done!

Thanks a lot!
The Spectrum was basically the same thing as the C64 but with less colours.
It's good to know people still respect the old classics!

I've always though the Sinclair was pretty bad, but after seeing this movie I've considerably changed my mind. Thank you.

On a side note, what's the name of the last song used?

Thanks mate! I really appreciate that!
Oh, the song. It's PIGBAG with Papa's Got A Brand New PigBag.

There's a crappy recording of a live version on YouTube if your interested: xSvlo&feature=related

Thanks again!

Just Awesome!

The Sinclair (albeit the 48k version) was a major part of my childhood. Excellent little documentary, I'll check out any others as you deliver them. You better devote at least 2 minutes to the legendary Monty the mole ;)

Hey! A fellow Spec-Head!
I've put up some old games up here already that you might be interested in. If you check my profile you'll see some RoboCop and BatMan and Renegade.
Man, I didn't even think of Monty the Mole!
Tell you what, I'll hunt a copy down tomorrow and try and put it up by next Sunday!
Thanks for the "Request"!
