Noba Minesweeper

The classical minesweeper game, that those of us who remember a time without internet have wasted days playing, remade with levels and pretty graphics.

The only thing special is that due to the lag of rightclick support I had to make it shift+click for placing a flag.

Hope you like it, and remember feedback is worth its time in gold, so do review!

Nice

Well, out of alll the minesweeper games on ng this is the best so far, but there was one major issue i had with it. Its ice that it gives you the squares that have 0 mines around them and fills all the surounding squares for you, but the way it was done was eh. I could hardly tell which was the side i was supposed to click on since one side was an extremely faint blue and one was while, if it was different i would probably give this a 10 but meh... other than than it ran smooth, i like the award system, it had very nice graphics for minesweeper, and it had nice music for the gameplay as well as for losing =P. So overall it was a pretty good game.

5/5 9/10

one feature missing

the double (both button) click to clear around a flag. the classic minesweeper had that, right?

Benjaminsen responds:

Yea as I said we cannot yet do this in flash, but we are all looking forward to flash 10

nice.....

i think u shud actually play around wit the gameplay a bit and see wot happens, u neva know u mite make a game which is far beta than but still a tribute to da orginal

Pretty good...

Well, everyone likes Minesweeper, I think. The one problem this game has (and it's one the original Minesweeper has, of course) is that your first few clicks are completely random. You have no way of knowing whether you're going to click a mine. I got to the fifth level or so and clicked a mine and there was really no way for me to prevent it...But now with your game I have to start all the way back at the beginning when that happens. It's kind of annoying, actually.

Benjaminsen responds:

Personally I find this very annoying as well and even wend so fare as to make sure the first time you click a tile you will never hit a mine!

Still the goal was to make a minesweeper game, true in gameplay to the original, so did not really have a choice for the game dynamics.

Hey, not bad.

Never really thought of something along these lines, but it makes total sense. Sort of like a minesweeper trainer. To quote Cardinal Glick, "hook 'em while they're young".

I reserve 9s and 10s for personal favorites, and this falls short of that category, but there's certainly nothing wrong with it.
