After 5 months of work and more than 12k lines of code written.. here comes StarCraft Flash RPG!
Level up one of the most famous characters, buy new units and upgrades, fight hordes of enemys,
but finally, meet and kill a new ultimate Zerg creation!
Features: about 5-10 hours of playtime, save / load game, autosave after every won battle, quests, npcs etc..

Warning: This game is hard. Just don't give up after first loose..
(If you still die alot, reduce difficulty to "low", but remember "hard" is the best)

Instructions: After starting a new game, click on your hero (in the middle of the screen) and turn "selection lock" to ON, so you can click anywhere to move.
Your first step should be to go to Barracks and buy medic or firebat.
After that, just go out of the city and enjoy watching how your squad kills some zergs.

You gain experiances, minerals and gas in battles or by doing quests.
Spend them in Barracks, Factory, Shop, Spaceport or Laboratory.

Remember: This is not an action game! Just sit and enjoy the show :-)
Not all locations are accessible, this is because of the 10 MB limit.

Good within your limits

Having such a tough limit on size means that the fact you've produced such an in-depth game at all is a great achievement. However, as previous posters pointed out, this means that it lacks a lot of things which would make it an RPG. There's no role-playing in this.

im working on an addition to rpg system, stat points & skills.

Thought this was a great game but you should be able to right click to move.

Could be better

As a Starcraft fan when I saw this in the portal I couldn't wait to play it. I was hoping for a game with at least a few rpg elements. The only thing RPG about this game is leveling up which doesn't really cut it for me. He is are some things that you should improve on. The experience point system doesn't really make any sense. Why does killing a hydralisk give you the same exp. as killing a zergling? Another aspect of the combat system also needs improving. You have almost no control over your characters. There should at least be a way to have certain characters target certain enemies. To me the main character seemed underpowered. He was barely stronger than the normal guys even in the higher levels. Let him have some abilities or make him a lot stronger than regular units.

Another thing I noticed was that random battles happen way to often. Sometimes as frequently as once every three steps. I know that you tried to make some of the buildings look different from the game's by mixing them together but a few looked really strange. I would have just stuck with the original designs for the armory and barracks.

I didn't like how when you died you have to actually refresh the web page instead of just respawning or going back to the main menu. On top of that, after you loaded the game back up you started back at the underground town even if you had been to the second one.

There were a few other design flaws like the sharp increases in difficulty after every level up, and the almost unbearable pathfinding that have already been mentioned by other reviewers.

Now some positive things. The game's premise was really good it just needed a little more development. I'm really impressed that you have been reading some of the reviews and fixing some of the bugs mentioned in them. Finally don't think that I hate this game, it's actually pretty fun. I wouldn't write this long review if I didn't think this game showed some potential.

Actually hero is much stronger than regular units, well yes, he starts as normal marine, but he get the same upgrades as other units + he upgrades over time, so leter on, you will use him as "tank", coz he will be stronger than all other units.

Seems like I really need to add some stuff for hero, like stats & skills :)

Nice, very nice.

Though I wish you got check points, annoying that every time I die, I go back from the start (though will all my stuffs intact). Also, where are the other shops? Science vessels?

People find this review helpful!
maciik responds:

All main buildings can be found in starting city, the second neutral zone is just small terran mining outpost.
Try not to die :)

how do you beat the undeground monster

plase it would help me alot

maciik responds:

I suggest you to use nuclear bomb, EMP and defensive matrix.
put def. matrix on your first (tanking) unit, next to him medic or two and
2 tanks in siege mode in back.
