...

Aside from it being way to slow, you spelled Colosseum COMPLETELY wrong.

TRY SPELLING THE ANSWER RIGHT AND THEN I MIGHT BE ABLE TO WIN.

Apparently I can't say the answer, but let's just say it's old as fuck and in Italy.

Seriously...a typo in a game that requires you to accurately name a place.

CrookedAlley responds:

I know, it was the stupidest thing ever. I really do apologize. There REALLY can't be typo's in a game where you're supposed to type the answer. Again, sorry. It is fixed now.

It was pretty good

but I'm still pissed at the... french one (Curse you not letting us post answers here). I'd got it in the first 5 or so seconds, but because I hadn't written The it didn't count. Also, there were a tad too many American ones. Being a humble Brit, I found that there were some I recognised but didn't know the name of, so I spent 60 seconds growling at the screen. Oh well, I can't say it wasn't addictive.

CrookedAlley responds:

That's true. If I make another 'Places' one, I'll try to focus on the world rather than America... Not sure why I did it... I'm Canadian! LOL

I think I focused on the Americans because in my first Who Am I? game, spotlight, I used a famous Canadian for the last thing... and I got complaints about nobody knowing who he was... he was the Prime Minister for ten friggen years! LOL

Not bad, but needs improvements

I haven't played any of your other "Who am I?" games, but I imagine they're mostly like this one. My biggest complaint is simply that it was too slow. Having to wait 10 seconds before getting more of the picture is kind of a long time, and a full minute is pretty generous. What might be better is to have a bar timer that starts out green, then turns to yellow and red as it goes down (maybe 30 seconds total) and every 2 seconds maybe another couple blocks in uncovered, something like that.

I did like how if I put in the place name instead of the specific landmark I got different feedback, that was very helpful.

The music was a little dull, as well.
