Hey everybody, this is my latest game, Bounce Coil. The game sprouted from an idea my friend had that was pretty much him just saying "Dude, imagine pong, but in a circle." Obviously I've expanded that idea into this, and I hope you enjoy it. All of the music in the game was made by theWaveS, and he is so totally awesome at composing music, I seriously suggest checking his work out (via the link on the left).

Left and Right (arrow keys): Move
Space/Enter: Pause

Be sure to go to the options to select different themes to play with. ;D

Well, have fun! And be sure to visit Psy City!

Show me Potato Salad!

The game had an original concept. The game was simplicit in nature. There were some nice choices in music, although I never was able to figure out how to get theme 7 running. Themes were a cool addition, but I feel like there should have been some more flashy things to mess around with.

Many people have complained about not being able to hear sound. I encountered this too and it is because you do not have an initial song to start with. You manually have to set one up first before starting. May I suggest having the song list come up after you click the start button. Then have a Continue button at the bottom when you are ready to go. Have the continue button disabled at first so they get the idea of choosing a song.

The hassle of going through the introduction seemed to weigh down my patience. Sure it shows another theme, but I feel as if it still could have been shorter. You could have even had the menu stand still as the new theme played in the background (of course I don't know how hard that would be to program). The twisting and turning gameplay was fun, but could you have added some things that would fly across the screen? You could have also made some form of multiball feature to really get things flowing. Or did you do that? I didn't get very far. I think my max count was 35. The fun factor was very thin in this game. I sort of stopped trying.

Overall you created a nice little Arcade game. I liked it, but I'll move along to something else now.

The graphics are poor, sound is pretty good... I think the rotation should start sooner and probably progress in speed slower. It's quite simplistic, but the mechanic isn't bad. The control doesn't feel all that smooth, but it's decent. Not that bad of a game.

Could be better

Make Bounce Coil 2 use the mouse. That would make it easier to position the paddle which would open up more for you to do to the field.
