I made this a while ago and just found it, touched it up and thought I'd submit it. On this particular day that it was made, I was being haunted by this stupid fly that disappeared as soon as I tried to kill it. It bugged me for a while and rather than try to kill it I eventually decided to take out my anger in the form of a flash movie. I guess this was my revenge against that darn fly, I never did catch him.
Anyway, it's not much, nothing impressive, just a quick little animation I did for fun.

....mad at folks for not giving you good reviews. I mean if you are going to take the time to write a review you usually base it on everything you've seen before that point. And to be honest it isn't that great. But like you said,..it was basically a fun short that you did for the hell of it,..and compared to most shorts this is my score.
Oh no I'm not mad, I was just surprised that they expected so much and didn't judge it for what it was. I know it's nothing amazing, that's probably why I didn't submit it when I first made it. That is true though, and that's probably what got me, it sucks to have to be compared to some amazing flashes.

umm reason i gave it a 2 was because the artwork wasn't great a dot flying around the room...with no background, maybe add a background next time get a higher score...and there was a person neck moved a bit same with hand but other than that no real movements...i probly took more time writing this review then you did to actually make it not trying to be a dick...so next time to improve your submission you could add some more sounds,a background more movement just all around spend a little more time making your stuff plz
Have you ever made a flash movie? I assure you decent time was put into this for what it is. Again, I wasn't trying to make some amazing feature length movie. It was a 30 second short I did in a day for fun. It's quick and simple and that's the point. Watch it again, there's plenty of movement. That's what animation is, my friend. The entire thing is based around movement. The fly flying around, the man jumping to the fly, the man blinking, getting a closer look at the fly, reaching into his pocket and shuffling for the flyswatter, raising it in the air, coming down on it, jumping, the fly squirming. Those weren't movements? I didn't forget to add sounds or a background either. Everything was done intentionally, the point of it is to be quick and simple. If you ever get around to submitting a flash I'd love to see it, I expect high quality after that critique.

What kind of story do you want? It was a very short quick animation for fun. And there was in fact a plot, fly is annoying so it gets killed, the end. I wasn't aiming to try and tell an amazing feature length story in 30 seconds.

Could you be a little more specific? The point of the fly was to be annoying, that's why it flew around "too long." And there wasn't really a story behind it, I mean it's a 30 second clip. I think for what it is it makes perfect sense, fly flies around, man kills fly. The End.
