Protect the galaxy from the quasi-mean Commander. Build and upgrade probes to protect your main ship while asteroids and objects fly your way. Use special abilities from the main ship, bounce asteroids off probes or distract them with a decoy. 32 levels of asteroid destruction. 4 types of upgrades per probe (use the tabs on the right after selecting a probe).
-It's a bit slow through NewGrounds for some reason, so I apologize in advance.

Awesome defense game!

I really liked this game. It's like finding a hidden gem ^^

Although a bit short, the game was very well done! Only thing i didn't like was lack of hotkeys and a bit short. But other than that, great game!

So some things i thought could make it better:
-A second campaign? Or maybe a survival mode or something? basically more variety
-more turrets; there is nice turrets in this one, but for a sequel more would be better, like a lightning gun, or something innovative(gravity, physics, etc)
-more ship abilities; so you can think of it as a rpg- you can focus on helping your probes, focus on attacks, or a mix. and maybe more than one attack skill?
-space mines would be nice. Either like a mine that explodes when in range, or maybe a missile that stays there, and hits enemies(more range, less dmg than mine)
-make the menus more user friendly; my only complain here is the words are hard to see with some backgrounds
-more enemy types-Only one fighter type in only one level? and the asteroids get repetitive after a bit.
-when using the range turned on, add color or something that stands out when i select a probe! that way i know which one im looking at. Or better yet, do that and add an option to make the ranges as color circles dependant on the probe(rocket=red, wall=grey, etc)

Hope to see a sequel!
9/10

Thanks, I'll keep those improvements in mind if/when I get around to a sequel. A lot of ideas didn't make it into this version as I am working on totally different ideas now. I'd like to revisit this and work out something a lot better next time around.

Good foundation!

I would like to suggest a couple improbvements you might think about making.

Firstly, I'd like to see an option in the options menu to return to the main menu, or to restart the game.

Secondly, I'd like some method to deselect a probe that I've accidently selected without having to build it.

Other than that, this is a solidly built defense game. Way to be.

jcron responds:

Thanks. To cancel a build you should be able to hit the escape key.

This is pretty good.

When you figure out a good strategy this game can become very fun.

I like this one

I'd like to suggest to try and change up some of the probes around, because while more of them shoot differently, they all pretty much have the same range and shoot at about the same rate, like give the missle launchers alittle more range but have them shoot alittle less than they do for starters. Could you make it that we get more money from kills too? It's hard to get a decent defense going if we can only build one turret or so per stage and be able to test out all the drone you have.

It's a nit-pick, but I think it'd help out. I absolutely love the repair drones you came up with. Alot of defense game do not give you an option to repair any turrets, and it gets annoying having to resell and reupgrade newer turrets.
