Over a year later, I updated the game with some changes! Most notable is that the game should run a bit faster now, particularly in the later stages (4, 5, and Extra) The stages also no longer have to be unlocked, though you should still play them in order!

Ether has a few new maneuvers as well, pressing Spacebar will turn her attack on until you press it again, this should make things a lot easier if you're trying to play both characters by yourself. You can also now hold down X to slow her movement speed.

Alien forces are invading! Join four heroes as they blast across the solar system in the most intense flash shoot em up ever!

Game Features:

7 stages of non-stop action
Two-player simultaneous play
Full voice acting
Tons of bosses

Player 1 (FX) controls: Mouse to move, Left click to shoot

Player 2 (Ether) controls: Arrows or WASD to move, CTRL, Z, Spacebar, or Enter to shoot. X to move slower

Press L to toggle quality

This game is very processor intensive, medium quality recommended, low for older computers.

If you really need to pause, right click the game and uncheck play

Full voice cast:

FX: D-Mac
Ether: Candi Santora
Astra: Sasuya
Trinoka and XS: Althea Aseoche
Seven: Rina-chan
Nemor: CarlHyperweevil

This is one of the best flash games i have ever played!
Good story, great music and easy piloting
(Extra level was a good idea) :-)
I wait for the next part of it...

Laser Scratching!

This game is utterly superb! The graphics, sound and all those basic things are very good indeed, but the gameplay - my god, it's brilliant! You had things in here that I have never seen anywhere else... like that baddie that comes up behind you on level 4, and you have to defeat it by guiding it into the asteroids! I must also applaud you for the exploding ships on level 3, the ones that don't shoot at you unless you shoot at them... well, I have seen that somewhere before, but it makes for a great addition to this game because it adds an extra dimension to the gameplay, obliging you to aim carefully instead of just blasting mindlessly. And I loved the bit in the space battle, where you have to dodge the lasers being fired by your friend in the capital ship - it reminded me of when I used to play Sylphide on my old Mega CD, and that's no bad thing! In fact, a major factor in my enjoyment was the way that you are immersed in the game - the other characters are talking to you, things are blowing up in the background, you've got all these different kinds of baddies to worry about... it's not just a game, it's an experience!

I must admit, it was too hard for me - I got as far as level 6, but I kept on dying so I gave up (although 'cos I'm playing on my laptop, I was using the blue ship, so maybe using the green one and a mouse would have made it a bit easier). And there were a few occasions when the collision detection let me down... more than once when I was flying around those asteroids on level 4, I lost a shield even though I definitely did NOT get hit. But I'm still giving you a 10, because this game literally blew me away... the gameplay is of console quality, the boss designs are inspired and well-realised, the learning curve is just right and you can even have two players at once - and yet this is only Flash!

I am amazed!

The only possible improvements I can think of are trifling little things that are hardly worth mentioning. A pause button might be nice - although part of the game's appeal is in the fact that the action never stops coming and coming and coming! I also thought that maybe a few power-ups could be a good idea, but on second thoughts the game is so fast that trying to collect things as well would probably make it harder, not easier! And some people have mentioned subtitles, too... but I could hear what the characters were saying perfectly well, and I would hardly have had time to read the subtitles anyway!

Oh, this is such a good game... I'll defintiely play it again, and when I do I might just put it on easy and see if I can complete it. Because it's more than just fun, it's a thrill ride - and I wanna know what happens in the end!

I played normal mode and I was gone with the first shot of the mid boss battle. Very cool. Just need some power ups or health floating around.

You HAD to have known when you made this game it would be played two handed... AWESOME. Total ambidextrous experience.

Synching up both ships in your head... it was mindblowing. Strangley, it ends up I actually play BETTER left handed... who knew?

I wish ALL shooter games were two handed... it would revolutionize the genre....
