This was originally a little thing we did in school, with only the very basics of what it is now. I tried to give it a sort of old-arcade-game feeling to it, which I think it has.
There are 8 levels and 4 bosses in total. If you don't understand how to play just do the tutorial.
You shoot a powerful shockwave with the space button, but only once per level.
You switch you normal bullets to rockets with the down button, and then switch back with the up button.

Bravoo

GRrrrrrrrrreat job dude! this game rocks my socks! soooo many details put into it! sooo much effort put into it! great great great

RockLou responds:

Danke

not bad at all

but like sooooooo many of the games that are submitted to NG, there is nothing new here to make this game stand out from the rest in the genre

even if it is a bad choice, try and add/alter/remove something to make your game stand out

RockLou responds:

Thanks, I'll remember that when doing my next game. But I do recall, that one guy who reviewed my older version said there wasn't many of these kind of games of Newgrounds...

A average game

It's a quite good game but the graphics are ugly but you did give it a arcade feeling

RockLou responds:

Thanks, yeah the graphics maybe aren't the best.

Interesting...

This is a pretty fun shooter. While it's nothing spectacular, it definitely shows that effort has been put into it. The Save feature is always a plus with these games.

My major gripes with this though, are course obstacles. I can't tell what's a rock and what's part of the level's ground texture, and it's a bit frustrating when I go to move out of the way of a ship and run right into a rock. >.<

Also, characters speaking to you could use a little more effect than fade in -> speak -> fade out; it gives me the illusion that all of them are right there in the same room with me, even though it's sort of a given that it's video feeds from far away.

RockLou responds:

Thanks!
Yeah I noticed that especially on the second level, the rocks blend in with the background too much...
And you're probably eight about the characters, but it was surprisingly time consuming doing just how it is right now.
