Hi' this is the first flash i have ever done! Yes it's crap, yes it has no point, no i wonn't be killing myself from shame any time soon (unless it's really that bad...) But hey, try to enjoy it and tell me what you think.

Good For A first try

It was really rather good. It was obvious that you put in some good time and effort and developed some pretty decent ideas. THe plot itself could've used some work and obviously backgrounds couldn't hurt but still i was impressed. I recently have just started trying to make my first flash videos and they're not nearly capable of this but i'm working at it, so if you have any pointers or would like to help i'd be thankful. One question i had which is probably pretty basic is how did you get the chain of the cannonball thing to sort've rattle around the way it did because it looked pretty cool. Well anyway good job and i hope you continue to make flash!

TomTomSN responds:

lol. I did put Effort into it but i could have done better with the plot and a background.... I don't really have any good pointer since i'm not that good myself but i made the chain out of indervidual parts and just moved them and turned them as the handle moved. Hope that helped : )

Good start

1) add some sound
2) use typing instead of hand drawing the words, and preferably use a subtitle bar.
3) work on stretching things that are moving fast
4) things like the tail of the hammer as it moves can be animated using a movie clip so you don't have to redo the waggling through the air over an over.
5) keep at it.

TomTomSN responds:

Hey thanks for the tips especially number 4 i didn't think of that, that'll make life easier!
