HappyLand is a world of love and happiness, but one day the Miserable Elves invade and make everyone sad. It's up to the Fuzzy Elf to cheer everyone up again with his happy hearts. Can you survive all the stages and reach the Elf King?

This is my first AS3 game and makes full use of the capabilities that AS3 brings to Flash with lots of shiny effects. Flash Player 9 is essential, if you get lag try switching to low quality. Go to MoFunZone.com if you want to play with high scores.

I look forwards to your comments and will try to respond to as many as I can. Hope you enjoy playing ^_^

Pretty Good

When i first started playing i was like wtf?But after i got used to the weird fluffy pink thing and the kirby music,i really enjoyed it.lol

Happy indeed.

I generally enjoyed this.

The start seemed ridiculously simple, but I liked the twist on level 4 and level 6 actually killed me once or twice. Level 7 killed me about 5-7 times and I beat the elf king in 3 goes.

I liked the twist on a normal shooter - both in the direction of projectiles and also with the elves that we need to avoid hitting.

However, I felt that it all seemed a bit flukey for my tastes - with the frantic pace, but the generous amount of 'health', we're almost expecting to be hit loads of times and so each time we get hit loses its feeling of importance. If the game were slowed down a bit and maybe the 'camera' zoomed out, to let us see everything ahead of time, with an accompanying decrease in the number of times we're allowed to be hit, the game could be just as hard, but each time we're hit would be more of an occasion and the deaths wouldn't feel so chancey.

Maybe change the face of the main character - like you do with the king - to reflect his lack of happiness. And maybe the king could have some attacks implemented.

The game was fun despite these gripes - the graphics were jolly, music fun and the gameplay had a suitably happy vibe.

It's good

Nice game, I just liked it.

ChromeShark responds:

Thankyou ^_^

Not bad!

It was a nice game, but i got fed up at level 5. As the others said, power ups and changing background would be nice (changing more than that ;) ). It took me a while to get how to change the evil puffdudes in happy puffdudes, and yet again i'm not sure how it is done. Is it by shooting them multiple times, wich is quite hazardous, or by simply letting them cross the path of a happy thing? Answer that one by private message, if you like. Well, after all that stuff, i give you my tens and my fives, because for once, we got a shooter that didn't imply death, looking both to girls and boys, and that song brought back memories, so... Good job out there, pal.

ChromeShark responds:

Thanks for your review, quite a few of your points were addressed in the Valentine sequel so please check that out if you liked this one!
