Thanks heaps for the front page it's appreciated.

Also I put a skip button on the intro.

Zwingo is my latest game - for the MaxGames game competition (ending soon). Big thanks to Deseo for making the music especially for this game :) Visit Deseo's site please: .htm

Swing ('zwing') your ball around using the mouse, smashing all the black balls of screen. Your aim is to protect the white ball in the centre. If the white ball leaves the boundary, it's game over. Every 10 levels you'll face a boss that you have to continually hit until he runs out of health and goes off screen.

As you hit each ball out you gain experience points (xp). The harder you hit the ball, the more xp you collect. At the end of each level you can spend this xp on one or more of four upgrades - size, speed, white ball size and boundary area. You'll need to upgrade to face faster, bigger balls and make it all the way past level 50 to pass the game.

The overall score is calculated as the total xp you collected throughout the game. Thanks to Armorbot for the highscore table. Also, the game has a save feature that lets you come back and play from the same level you left another time.

Nicely done!! I thourghly enjoyed this one, which was surpricing for how simple the concept of it all was. I did notice the ball buggout at high speed collisions. Although I agree with the critter concept of that one of the reviews was talking about I don't think it would make the game any better or worse. Maybe a gun upgrade instead of the boundry upgrade........maybe not a gun but shooting smaller balls or something.
Again, superb game. I gave this 9/10 which = 4.5 and rounded up for the score kuz it was well worth it.

p.s. A shooting smaller balls upgrade would've put it at 10/10.

p.s.s. Which still = no biggy.

anyone beat the game just with size upgrades?\ the speed upgrade makes it harder to hit balls, the boundary upgrade is ok but the center ball size upgrade definitely makes the game harder

good game though

Good game

I enjoyed the game although I found on occasion that the balls would bug out and fly shoot through my ball and off on some weird angle. I noticed this tended to happen more on higher speed collisions but it did occasionally happen on lower speed ones as well.

Elsewise a good game although more variety would be nice. Maybe instead of knocking out other balls it could be little critters trying to get at the centre. That would allow for a greater diversity of play.

but got a bit repetitive at level 23. plus, u can get that far investing only in size, so there wasn't enough of a impact on gameplay, whatever you chose. still 5/5, but needs a bit more strategy.
