Soviet submariners song

Author Comments

This music video is dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the Nth division of the Northern fleet.
I really love 60's, Soviet music and old Soviet diesel submarines, so I made this movie.

=The submariners' song=
translated from Russian

Coast lights have disappeared far away,
The submarine is going to the ocean again.
We're looking forward to stormy days, |
Wild winds and a grey-haired fog. | 2 times

The seamen's wives shouldn't be sad.
While being in the blue depth
We'll keep memories about lovely starry nights on the dryland |
And tender rustling of birches and rowans in our hearts. | 2 times

There are always hundreds tons of water above us
And the boundless ocean...
The depths is being cut with our mighty screw propellers, |
Our true hearts are beating in the submarine's compartments. | 2 times

Coast lights have disappeared far away,
The submarine is going to the ocean again.
We're looking forward to stormy days, |
Wild winds and a grey-haired fog. | 2 times

Desadsky responds:

I'm very happy just reading this. Thank you!

Interesting

My favorite parts were the ones taking place on the submarine's deck. The slow rocking of the sub and the moving water made for an impressive effect.

Desadsky responds:

Thank you! I love old diesel boats and I always wanted to make movie about them.
