I made a lot of maps and after a while I understood how it works, so I made some maps on a sheet of paper for fun. (9x9 map and 50x25 map^^, which you can't do with this editor).
the first two numbers are for the mapsize, for example (9,9) for a 9x9map, then comes a "$" followed by several numbers and colons. every number defines a square on the map. so you need 9 numbers in a row, then a "$" followed by 9 numbers (devided by colons ",") for the next row and so on. for this example you have to do it 9 times, so you will have 81 numbers for the map. after the last number for the map (down left corner) comes a "$". the following numbers for example 3,4$ are for the entry of path1, the next numbers are for the second waypoint of path1 (for example 3,4$3,7$). you can do this 20 times for every path. if you don't need all the 20 waypoints (coordinates), you have to define waypoint 20, because it defines the exit of path1. for example, if you need 15 waypoints for path1 you have to define the first 14 waypoints, the waypoints 15-19 set to 0,0$ (0,0$ is outside the map), but waypoint 20 is a must and its coordinates must be inside the map. every used waypoint must be placed on a walkable tile, or the wave won't walk.
