"Returns" Teaser Trailer

Well, I went without a beat on this one. As soon as I saw my first project, "Red and Blue" fail miserably, yet those who reviewed said there was potential, I went ahead and began to work on a trailer for the new project I am working on.

Behold the trailer for Red and Blue: RETURNS, the sequal to the Failed Project "Red and Blue". I put alot more effort in just this trailer, and hopefully, it will be great once I complete the project.

(I'm still trying to get the hang of the motion animation in some spots. If you notice the slight breaking in animation. This WILL be fixed in the Final Cut, of course...and the animation will be alot better.)

Anyway, I hope you all like this one better, and hopefully it will stay up until I finish the project.

Show some love! xD

Thanks everyone for the useful tips. It'll help me work more efficiently on this project. I'm sure once I get the hang of everything, this will become something for everyone to enjoy! Keep writing! It'll definately help!

Tween help

To stop the breaking in the tweens (as you are using shape tweens) use shape hints. You can place hints either by hitting Shift+ctrl+h while on the first frame of a tween or select it from the Modify->Shape->Shape Hint.

Then go to the last frame of the tween and place the second parts of the hints. They are lettered so you can tell which ones correspond to which ones.

I would advise googling and finding out more that way (my explanation will be crappy without a video to show you what I mean), [if you want I can upload a shape hint vid, but I imagine tons already exist].

Also, this is an alpha and prolly should have been submitted there.

At any rate, if you put some effort into it, make use of shape hints (or animate Frame by frame) then this looks like it will be good.

Oh, one last thing. Your words flip by a bit on the quick side.

Bad

You know, these morphing (tween shape) effects aren`t cool at all.

Too many shape tweens.

Too many shape tweens makes it look cheesy. I'd say avoid them.

I feel that if you just animated without using so many shape tweens I would've rated you higher, but all the shape tweens just took away from the whole animation. Stick figure fights do get old as well. Everyone seems to do them when they are new to flash. Work harder on the final product, and try to avoid ALL shape tweens. Maybe you'll create a truely epic stick figure fight flash.
