Thanks for the nomination for best game in the 2008 tank awards! It's an honor to be listed amongst the other candidates!
Take on 3 classic video-game bosses. WART, ABOBO, and THUNDERBIRD. Can you get 3 stars on all 3?

There are a few easter-eggs which can help you if you're struggling to get 3 stars. Some of these bosses will be pretty tough if you've never played the original games before.

This started as a part for a collab over a year ago, but the collab fell apart, so I polished my parts off and made them into a compilation of my own. I could probably code a few of these a lot better now if I started from scratch, but I just hate seeing my hard work go to waste.

UPDATE: Wart freezing bug fixed.

it is okay if you know how to play this game...if not well see the tips i´m going to give you
First boss Wart
1-for the first boss grab a veggie and then get below the area he is standing
2-the next time he opens his mouth launch a veggie on him
3-do that until he is defeated
Second boss Abobo
1-This one is easier...just keep your distance and hit him and his henchmen with the barrel...Be careful because if the barrel gets off stage there is no way to get it back
Third bosses Thunderbird and dark link
1-for the first one he is invincible unless you open the menu skill and use the thunder skill and then cast jump to hit it while it is blue use your mana reserves to cast heal if necesary and also shield at the end you will recieve an ether that will recover your mp and then you will face dark link
2-cast a magic of your choice and fight him until he dies and then you will recieve the precious treeforce (i think it is spelled like that)

hope this help you newgrounders

one of the best games ive played on NG

great game i really liked it i got 3 stars on every one i think it said b4 i beat them 69 times played on SMB2 4 times played on DD and 3 times played for the Zelda one SMB2 was very hard i had to get a PERFECT run just to get 3 stars on it which was the 69th time i ended up with 5024 score i think so great game

Very nice remakes!

All bosses cleared! This was a very nice remake of all the bosses in the game!

Wart - For the fastest time, make sure you grab the veggie as soon as it comes out when beginning the fight. As soon as he releases the bubbles, chick that thing in there and wait for the next free veggie. Do not miss a step on this, or you'll either start having most of your veggies blocked by bubbles, or just won't get enough Time Bonus.

Abobo - When spawning, aim straight for Abobo, since you are invulnerable for a little bit. All I can say is the barrel helps after that, and when the barrel is gone, try to approach Abobo from below/above him, this allows you to get hits in without him totally expecting you and beat you senseless. Make sure all enemies are gone, taking out Abobo doesn't mean it's all over.

Thunderbird - As soon as you start, fist activate the SHIELD, JUMP, and THUNDER spells to effectively reach Thunderbird's head and not take as much damage to the fire (also disabling the Thunderbird's shield). After defeating Thunderbird, all's not done: pick up the Red Potion to recover all MP, and as soon as you hit the next room, activate SHIELD. Dark Link is not as easy like in the NES version, my suggestion is to try a nice upfront fight. Don't forget that Link can stab down (while in the air, press and hold down) when in the air (both Links). When Dark Link has low health (or you) use the spell LIFE. Using it near the end of Dark Link's health allows you to boost your Life Bonus.

** - You NEED to use THUNDER in order to damage Thunderbird.

Hope this helps all of you who are a lil stuck.
