It's good that this widely available information is circulated once and a while so people don't forget.
Is there supposed to be an implicit condemnation in this flash, or are you merely raising questions? What strikes me about the masons is their great skill and care in their architecture and in the communities they build. What is good and what is evil resides in the individual, not the organization. Power is not inherently good or evil in itself, it is the intent behind the use of power.
Washington and Franklin were great men who we continue to owe our way of life to many generations later, but this irrational fear and fake-holiness that pervades through half our society today panders to weakness and victimhood.
Nothing of value can come from this.
This fear and reactionism only festers within works that were once great. It does not create great works of it's own.
