You might remember this song from that Pepsi commercial with Jimmy Fallon

This started as a movie for a competition. Then I built on it for a collab. But once the collab had died, i didnt want this to go to waste. So i added a loading screen, replay button, and music. And here it is. Enjoy.

And also, the shakiness of the animation is on purpose. It's supposed to add to the effect

Nice, but nothing too special...

As much as I like frame by frame animations, this one wasn't among the greatest ones that I've seen. It's still a nice piece, though; I liked some of the transformations here, the best one was the snowman (which you don't hate so much, apparently :P). And I also enjoyed the randomness, where you switched the "themes" constantly.

There's room for improvement, of course. I think that you "forgot" about the background, you could have put something in there, at least when there wasn't many things on screen (like in the basketball scene). I also thought that it ended soon, you could have explored your skills more in here.

Overall, a decent FBF flash, way above the average, but still not over the top. Keep it going, always getting better!

!!!

If you look real close at the end its like: by Goat-man... then its says blaze for like 3 miliseconds before it ends

Graeme responds:

Really!?!
That's freaking hilarious!! I'm not even changing it. That's just sweet.

For those who don't know, I used to go by Blaze. I gave up on that account and stated over. This was an old movie of mine that I changed the name. So that's funny shit right there.

Surrealism in its classical sense

In a way these animations hark back to the surrealist movement.

It seems to have become a rite of passage for Flash artists - fbf animation of miscellaneous objects morphing from one scene to the next, spending

I liked how the smiley face spitting out the blue/pink looked a bit like pacman, linking us to the previous scene.

The morph into the flag was specially nicely done. A couple - turning into the snowman or the bow/arrow or basketball seemed far less smooth.

Cool stuff in any case. An above-average example of a genre that I like anyway.

Stay funky!

Graeme responds:

the shakiness was on purpose. i feel it added a little substance, and fit the mood a little better.

i agree that some transitions weren't as good as other. and i never really thought about how the smiley guy looked like the pacman. but i can see how that could create a sense of familiarty (word check)

thanks again for a detailed review.

funky and fresh ;)

it's ok

Dont know what to say, it's ok work, you took your time so... 4/5

Graeme responds:

Sadly I did take my time. But my mouse drawing skills are much sktechier.
Still fun to look back on these old pieces though :)

Graeme responds:
