Man, this game isn't half bad! Lv. 6 was crazy lol. How did you manage to avoid slowdown? That's a big problem I've seen in other defense games like Onslaught (which is the shizznit).
Why's my turret defense game so fast? I dunno. Everytime there was something slowing it down, I fixed it! lol!
I thought it was an very original game that thrived on good eating. but i did not like how it ended, or that their was only one boss battle. i also did not like how lvl 6 was way to hard for it being that level. but i still like how the game works and the different kinds of *baddies* on their. still a great game.
The thing about level 6 is, it looks harder than it is. Each of those little guys just takes 1 hit to feed, and they spawn in groups of 3, so it's technically it's no harder than the level before where the enemies take 3 hits each.
I'm sorry to hear you didn't like the ending. I kinda thought that was the best part. Then again, I haven't slept in a while. :P
Thanks for the honest feedback. :) I'm glad you found something to like about it.
A Well-thought entry
For a moment I thought my finger was never gonna stop clicking.
Heh. Try beta-testing it 10 days in a row. :P
Seriously, I needed a band-aid on the evening of day 9.
this game was really good. it was very original, the sound was great, gameplay and controls were smooth. it was easy* but i know it was meant to be. this game couldn't have been better.
* first time i play and i won without losing a piece of cake.
Yeah, that sounds about right. :P
one quick thought
while this is really good for little kids, I noticed one thing. Level 2 is much harder than level one, because not only do they come twice as fast, (so it seems), they come from both directions. Maybe have the same speed and have them coming from both directions for lvl 2, then double the speed in lvl 3.
Yeah, people keep saying the level 1-2 transition is too hard. Okay, I'll try it your way.
One interesting side-effect is you now face 4 orange-headed guys at once instead of 3, since every level adds 1 enemy to the max number on-screen. Since they each take 3 hits to feed, now stage 4 is more challenging than it was before.
Even if 3-4 is now the trouble spot, though, I agree it's better to stick one there than at the 1-2 benchmark.
It is literally impossible to balance a game for a group of players as diverse as 5-12 year olds. But you know what? I kinda think this was a step in the right direction. Good call.
