This is a fun game. Unfortunately, it COULD have been a REALLY fun game. The whole matching pattern attack/defense thing is really cool, but the letters indicating the type of attack or defense in question are so tiny that you have to have the reflexes of Agent Smith in order to input them after you've figured out what the hell your opponent is doing. Additionally, the music is repetitive and actually makes it harder to time the "rhythm" based attacks. And lastly, sometimes the moveset you are given for the round doesn't actually allow you to block. I've been left with only low and throw defenses while the enemy had his high attack setting up. FIX IT. PLEASE.
Yes, the game is fun. It has good graphics, an excitingly new combat system, and a good premise. However, it needs to be improved before it can be really entertaining. I would recommend, for starters, making the high/low/throw letters much larger and in much brighter colors. I would also give the defender maybe 1.5 seconds more time to put in the defense command, which could be lengthened to keep things from being too easy.
the real issue:
There needs to be a certain streamlining of the interface, regarding where the different attacks and defences show up. If for example, the low attack always stood exactly opposite the low defend at all times then the game would be far easier to get grips with and therefore a hell of a lot more fun.
this game is awsome!
two player is fun because i can beat the shnaze out of my brother and its true the bar does give you a short time but thats why you need skill to beat it!
