Its pong.

No matter what random things you add, no matter how "cute" you make it look no matter if its created by the king of Russia. When it comes right down to it, pong is pong. Theres no way to change that. So the obvius gameplay is pretty poor. Maybe if I never touched a console, or ever played flash games or anything like then then maybe I would have liked it, but man its not the 60s anymore stop creating pong. Even with the pikachus on them it still isnt very good. Maybe upgrades, "evolutions" levels, or somthing like that would help. Poor game.

A Solid Framework to Build Upon

Well, the music here was pleasant, to me, and Pikachu was cute. The game had a light, sunny feeling that I liked. I'd like to see more features to the game such as power-ups or timing commands that would add some strategy. Maybe a menu and a two-player option would be nice, as well. Finally, if the pokeball were to speed up, like in the original pong, that'd be nifty. You know--it'd start slow and then get faster and faster--that kind of thing. In summary: you've got a nice framework, now put some meat on the bones!
