This is my tribute to that classic Atari coin-op, Asteroids. If you can get past 70,000 points you are doing pretty well. My first flash game, hope you enjoy. Thanks.
One of the better Asteroid games I've played! The gameplay is definitely traditional, but the graphics are all but classics. I think the starry background might've looked better in a darker shade, but apart from that it's all good. And the UFOs... they really amount! Usually they're a real rarity. Nice work!

that was an alright atari-style asteroid game... though it got pretty repetitive and a little boring after a while. nice try though.

I've written Asteroids games in BASIC, Pascal, C++ and now Flash. I'm very impressed with the speed and power of Flash as a game development tool, and looking forward to writing my next game.
a little too easy perhaps.
The firing rate, being limited only by bullets on screen, makes it a tad too easy to clean up the roids.

True, but just like in the real Asteroids, it's the ships that take you down fast, the rocks are your friends. :)
