IMPORTANT: This is a rather different version of Chapter 1!
The original was released in 2007, but this version was uploaded in 2010. It's basically a 'remake' in many ways, though the plot and events are generally the same.

Unfortunately, your saves from the old version won't work due to the drastic differences behind the scenes, but there are enough differences, I hope, to make replaying worthwhile. Any saves you make in this version can carry over to later chapters properly.

EDIT (21st of August 2010): Sorry, there'd been bugs with this version for a long time! It's because I fixed the bugs on Kongregate and updated the version there, but didn't do so here... Now I have though, so hopefully all problems will be fixed.

Oh, but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make sure you have an appropriate Flash Player version! There's a screen at the start that warns you if your version is outdated. If this screen appears *at all*, then you may (probably will) experience some bizarre saving problems. Updating your Flash Player prevents them.

This game was ok, however the graphics were simply horrible, the game froze on me, and not to mention that the battle interaction was that crappiest i have seen in a long time, i give this game a 5/10

Pseudolonewolf responds:

I'm not sure what you mean by "battle interaction", but you sound like one of those people with a crappy computer who runs everything at full settings then complains about the *game* when it doesn't run properly...
And tsk at how people seem to think there is only one way in which graphics can be 'good'!

Excellent !

Wow.. i was totally amazed when i had played this, at first i tought it was pretty strange that the 2 fellows started at lvl 50 butt none the less i kept on playing. Then finally arriving at the dragon killing him effortlessly ( seriously why was the dragon so easy ? ) the princess saved then i saw that 2 boys we're just using they're imaginations :D
so i kept on playing and enjoyed it found 13/13 treasure's so yay me
also at the sewers side quest part i had some difficulty face-ing the rats they kept on poisoning me and starting of with little cash you can't buy any antidotes luckily there were some in the chest so i managed to survive.

And finally some little critics :
The story line is awesome just do as you please

The characters are designed well and fit in they're places

I loved your battle system with the ( a,d,s ) keys something similiar to super smash brothers ( for the gba )

The music was nice it didn't got bored or irritating

And the humor well Tally -hooo needless to say more :D

Keep up the good work and ill be waiting for the next installment.

Rather Good

This was a good RPG. Some of the humor was a little dull, but I had a good chuckle now and again. The dragon would have been hard if I didn't spend some time testing the reaction system on the inept monsters. The reaction system is actually what kept me playing. It reminded me of Super Mario RPG. I want to see its peak. I wasn't really intrigued by the story until the elemental aliens began scheming. I didn't recognize Qualna's element (circle with a crack in the top). I'm guessing generic physicality? I'll be waiting to find out in Ch. 2. Happy programming.

Really great game but...

I found this glitch or bug or something that after I loaded a saved game I was in a two squared room pitch black and could only see my people strange...

Pseudolonewolf responds:

It would've helped if you'd said where you'd saved...
Do you have some outdated version of Flash Player or something? Or wait... Maybe you didn't allow the save to actually save as much data as it needed to? (There's a thing that comes up and says 'Flash needs to store NkB of data. Allow it?'; you have to say YES obviously!)
I'm going to wait to see if anyone else reports that before looking into it though.
