The Standard Metric System; a song by Logan Whitehurst; animated in the style of an old propaganda cartoon. Enjoy.

Note: the George Bush still is taken from Robot Chicken.

XD gotta love that whitehurst

Great job, love the music and the animation is truly AMAZING!!! love it!!

good one

that was a pretty cool animation. i've never heard that song before watching this one, so it was original for me and the song was pretty good too. the animation that you created to go with that song was pretty awesome too. it was quite entertaining and funny.. 'old propaganda' is always good to make fun of, had some good graphics and it was a blast to watch.

The first thing that i have to comment on is your lyrics to the song, they were terrific, especially the last line which was hilarious. I thought you did a good job with your voice acting, it must have been tough to try and keep your timing but you did it well. The graphics were all great as well. Overall a very good flash.

Score based on graphics & effort

Upon viewing this submission i can tell you put allot of time into it and i commend you for that. The graphics are well done and the song fits nicely into the scheme of whats going on. I didn't enjoy it however because i was unable to find humor in any pert of the movie. [but thats just my personal opinion]. I felt as if i were watching an educational video in High School or something of the sort. I failed to find humor in the entry perhaps because is is some sort of parody and i have failed to see the original movie its making fun of. As a 20 year old 3rd year junior in college i am unable to understand purpose of the video which would insinuate that the majority of your viewers [18 and younger] share a smiler opinion. Good luck with future submissions, i look forward to reading your educational and enlightening response.

ManOfTriforce responds:

Yea I actually don't find the song that funny anymore either (also considering I listened to it hundreds of times while making the flash). It's sort of unfair posting this here and expecting people to find a lot of the jokes (at least the ones featured in the flash) funny because a lot of them are inside jokes between friends and myself. For example, the shadow face at the beginning; I didn't really intend on having that in there, along with the whole old film style, until my class was shown a film like that, while I was drawing up my early ideas for this simple animation. When the teacher was setting up the projector, my friend's face got in the way for about 20 seconds before the teacher noticed and we had to restart the video again. So, yea, I don't expect everyone to laugh, but at least you bid me an optimistic future and I do the same to you. Have a nice day. :)

Were you expecting a bash?

alright

nice job except i dont really see the why you made this but you did a good job on animation so keep at it

ManOfTriforce responds:

I don't really see why you're breathing, or why you're online making pointless comments about other people's flashes, or how you can find any joy out of life. In the same way, do I really need a reason to have animation as a hobby? As a pastime? As a way to further appreciate songs I might like, to better articulate ideas that I might think others might be interested in or not anyways? Or maybe, as one may deduce from the very lyrics of the song featured in my flash, I enjoy the freedoms of America. I made this to entertain. This entire website is about entertainment; it really shouldn't be that hard to figure out. Nevertheless, a "nice job" is a nice job, so thanks.
