A few people have been getting confused, but the afterburner only works when the yellow bar is charged, and it drops to zero if you shoot or get shot (to avoid ruining the 4th point in the list below)
Also, if you want to start in a destroyer, press 'End' to self-destruct in your fighter.

Okay, so the initial game concept was basically like this:

- Huge space battles (with several distinct forces)
- Intelligent AI
- Allied ships
- Giving the player no significant advantage other than their playing skill

As far as we’re concerned we accomplished all of that, and in doing so we’ve made something that feels quite unique to play. Now we’re just hoping that you folks agree =]

Nice game

Very good game, as stated, it's too bad you have to start over when you die.
Some improvments for next version or for version 2.0

- Skirmish, setup your own battlefield
- Restart button for campaign, as suggested
- some more ships to control, for more varity
- using your score to buy new ships for your team, would be a nice addition.

This is a reeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaalllllllllly yyyyy great game, the sound is amazing, the action is intense, the graphics are great, and the overall game is sweet. Although there is one complaint and thats that when you die you have to start whole damn thing over again. Fix that, make another, and it will be the greatest internet game of all time.

At the moment the game is highscore based, so you HAVE to start again really. I realise that people would prefer a campaign now though, so you never know =]

Great but...

Well it is a really really good game. But it pretty sux when you die and have to start all over again. Also the levels 3 and higher are quite hard. And when you FINALY managed to complete one of them, and you die in the next one your pretty pissed, atleast i was.
The difficulty level combined with the Die-And-Start-all-over-again took the fun away after 5x playing.

Improve this and it will has to get on the Best Flash of All time list.

AndrewMartin responds:

I know what you mean. Forcing people to start again is never something i've liked in flash games, seems pointless... but this is a highscore game (goes on to infinity, theoretically), so i suppose it never occurred to me.

I'm thinking now that maybe people would prefer a structured campaign with levels they can retry.

Thanks for the review, twas useful =]
