It may be a little confusing, but I tried to pack as many features as I could into it!
Mess around with it and you'll get the hang of it.
Pattern mode goes from left to right, top to bottom, whereas non-pattern mode places them randomly. Insta makes the generation instant(simple enough) Auto-Align for pattern mode aligns the dots based on size. The black dots to the left control randomness. Press space to make the options disappear. Draw mode lets you draw freestyle.

invest your flash-making time in something else, you have far too much potential to be making dot generators, but it wat ok for a few seconds (which is not the reaction you want for hours of work, unless of course it took you 30 seconds to make, then you're uber-awesome).
Well I'm by no means über awesome, but hey, I needed something to do, and it's good practice...
Ok overall
this seems like you have skills in actionscripting and could make something very interesting but this isnt from what i have seen here in sure you could have done alot better but this is simply boring you should put a little more imagination into it. but overall not bad its worth keeping on NG so i would hate to see this blammed but dont think it will be anyway =D

More of a learning game
In my personal opinion this was more of a game you would have wrote to learn. Its not so much a game you could sit down and play for longer then 30 seconds. Although with the things you learned in this game I hope you can go on to make some more stuff for us to see here at NG.
