good, but...
the game is quite good, but you have to improve the graphics and animations. and reconsider the laws of perspective: an object that approaches from far away is slow in the beginning and fast in the end - not the other way round.
This was my final project for my Interaction class at college. The assignment was to make a non linear story/project - which a game classifies as. Thus this tale was born, though it can't really be claimed as wholly original because it was written a long time before I came along.
Use the left arrow key to attack enemies on your left, the right arrow key to attack enemies on your right, and press both together to attack enemies that come in pairs. The boss fight requires you to find the symbol for the correct choice before running out of time.
Enjoy, and leave some comments!

EDIT: the actual title is "Deliverance". Apparently someone already had submitted something with that name. Sorry about not having a pre-loader, I can't quite get it to work without interfering with the movie itself.
EDIT: I told John Fondler I would get back to him, so in response to his comment: Nope, didn't fail the class. Ending grade was a B for the semester I believe. :-)

Good try
I like the story. Unfortunately I didn't like the game, how ever it is unique. It took me like 15 tries just to get through the guards.. but difficulty isn't really a bad thing.
At the multiple choice area I saw a few S's around so I assumed it was that one.. I really didn't see a hint to the true symbol.. maybe I was looking in the wrong places.
Yeah, I will say I didn't really give much of a hint to which is the true symbol - I can definitely see how the S's would be confusing (especially the giant one on the guy's shield). For future reference, look towards the door.
Thanks for taking the time to play and review!

Good Game
Well put story line n' everything. Could use a better control system or way of fightin' enemies since all you would pretty much have to do is keep pressin' the left n' right key at the same time all the way through. Keep it up.

Yeah, I still have troube beating it occasionally. I was actually playing it the morning I was going to turn it in and couldn't beat the field part, so I ended up removing a pair of bad guys.
If you get past the field level, there's a "make a choice" boss battle. I don't know if you got there, but if not you should play through and check it out.
Thanks for the review and taking the time to play!

wow...you failed that class didn't you?
Hehe, pretty sure I didn't. But I won't know until mid summer I suppose. I'll get back to you. ;-)

Nice but
one thing, the music stops when you press how to play on the menu
drag the music onto a dif layer and make a frame at the how to play frame and a keyframe where you want the music to start that should fix it
love the beginning, game was good too :D
