Well I am not a flash artist myself though I am a graphic artist in other mediums, so I don't know exactly how much credibility I have as far as technical aspects of a flash but I would like to think I have a decent aesthetic sensibilty. This is by far not the best flash I have seen but its not the worse I have seen either. You said yourself you are still learning . The flash could use maybe some more action or dialogue. Perhaps more detailed graphics. You are probably getting a low score from most not because its a bad flash but because its not really an entertaining flash. Trust me I have seen far far worse. Just keep at it and try to add a little more substance to your flash and I'm sure you will do fine.

A good first.

Its a good first movie. Animate another one and try to make the physics a little more solid. The two major things that stick out are the trip, and the backflip. The whole thing has a Line Rider feel. Also, considering the simplicity of the animation a 2mg file seems a little big. I'm guessing the sound file was a little large, or the brush stroke animated figure added a lot more to the file size then I'm figuring it should. Either way, keep up the good work and post another one soon.

Wow. I wish my first animation was as cool as that. I like the way he sort of glides along. Fantastic first try, keep 'em coming. Perhaps develop the physics of his movement a little more when hes jumping through the air and make the landscape just a little more smooth and fluid (the brush strokes). I feel strangely "happy" watching this animation, no not that kind of happy, the innocent kind. The music is also perfect for the animation. Good job.

on skates or did he walked?
