This is freelancer, the flash version and much upgraded since flash freelancer v1 much better looking and sounding


Thanx to my friend Lewis Trickett the star now look awesome

OK WHAT THE HELL

I AM a huge fan of the freelancer series, and freelancer does not play like THAT.

You were able to bring together a lot of options to choose from into a tight little package with this game. I mean the amount of effort you have put into this is quite remarkable, i was literally stunned at the depth. I have to say that my favorite part of this game was your sound effects though, the shooting sounds that the spaceships made were so cool and that background music made me feel as if i was there. The controls were alittle hard to pick up to start with but i got the hang of them after awhile. Overall a really detailed game.

Needs more work

YOu should re-think the way the controls work, because its not very responsive. Mouse should orient the ship and shoot the gun, and WASD control thrust or something.

The guns had a very limited range, low power. Pretty much useless. Sometimes the shot would go backwards.

"we have an advanced ship geared for war".. but as far a i saw, our ennemies were a million times more effective in everything. But their control AI were their weakness. They got range, durability, a broken hit box, rate of fire.

The upgrades were too expensive. Make it soe that thier effectiveness / level only increase a little each time, so that thier cost at the beggining isnt like 2000000000$ for a basic weak upgrade.

Why are credits named gold? Cmon, it isnt DnD.

WHile nice, the menus are long to load, slow down play. IMO, the graphics in a game are secondary to the gameplay. You can tone down the graphic quality if it speed up the gameplay and add to the fun.

The sounds were choppy.

It have a lot of potential, but try to limit the excess stuff that does not add to the fun. Such as pictures. Needs polishing. A lot of it.

Yes! i actuall really useful review thanx for this, yea its the stars in the background that slow the game down i understand about the shots and am in the prcess of making it again, about credits, yes i forgot so i just called it gold i havent played FL in ages and my disc has been at my m8's for months he says he giving it me back in few days.

sounds, yes i know its not the up to date version i gonna wait till v3 coz if i yupdate again and again people lose interest

This is a good concept

However, the game suffers from serious problems, in particular, how your weapons are crappy, slow firing, and can't hit things more than a couple of ship lengths away, while your opponents can ream you with rapid fire shots from across the screen.
