nice one

that was a pretty good game. the idea/concept to this one is a little bit simple overall, but the pace in this one gave it a very nice challenge to it... preventing it from being too easy, which is a good thing. the extra challenge in this one made it all the more enjoyable.

Not too bad...

Really not bad, remembered me of these old games I used to play on those old game stations...Actually I don't suck that much because I am first^^ And yes, hurray to the U.S.A and France. Well, let's right a little bit more consrtuctive review if I may:

8 for the graphics: Well, simple but efficient, not too complicated and fresh. Good job, even if you should try having funnier looking aliens and that would guve reasons for a better grade in humor.

9 for style: My kind of game, really. Old school, a good game that has some really good arcade style.

6 for the sound: Can't really say anything, not bad, but not the best either, but still not as annoying as the other stupid jingles.

4 for the violence: I would say this is a good thing as I am not a fan of super-violent games, but for other tastes...whatever.

8 for interactivity: Quite interactive...^^well, you could control your ship and it was fluid...maybe it should not be in this grade, but wahtever, again.

3 for humor: Try making it funnier, it would be even better.

8 for the overall: I really like the game, has some few defaults to it, but really my style.

I'm voting 5 ^^


But I have to agree with xadrian. The screen is just way too small for one-hit deaths, and the freezing thing just doesn't work out. The graphics were so-so and the sound got repetitive after a few seconds, but all-in-all it was a decent game.

Colisions and health gauge.

Personal preference, I don't care how classic shmups did it, I can't stand "one shot dead start over" games. It's just a waste of time.

Second, how far away are these guys from hitting me when I get tagged? They seem relative far and yet I'm constantly dying. One time I'm positive an enemy hit my thrust trail and that killed me.

As unique as the idea of "freezing" them is, I'd rather get rid of them, but it is what makes this stand out above another Asteroids clone. I'd also consider adding some drift when you're done thrusting.
