[Update] Thanks for front page and all of the awards again everybody. I appreciate the support. ^_^

Wow. 4 months since I started working on this. And now i've finally got the motivation to finish it.
Sorry for keeping all of you waiting (again) and I hope I made it worth the wait.
I'm happy with how this episode turned out. Albeit the fact I had to cut it short because I nearly reached my 16k frame limit. So all of you will have to wait for ep 6 if you wanna know what happens next. Hopefully I won't keep you waiting as long next time.
I don't have much else to say, apart from thanks for all the support and enjoy the movie. ^^

I waited 4 months for this...

...And it was worth the long damn wait. Alvin, you and the Super Mario Bros. Z series rock on levels words can't explain. Can't wait for part SMBZ part 6.

A wonderful job

It seemed like forever waiting for it, but each time I watch it, I feel it was time well spent. This is by far the best SMBZ to date, with an amazing battle and a huge addition to the characters. This has been said many times before, but it bears repeating: this series is the pinnacle of sprite flashes, and is one of the best flash series period. The only reason that this didn't get straight 10's is because, for some reason, the sound lags behind the action, becoming very pronounced in the second half of the flash. This is minor, however, and I await the next installment of this excellent story.

Alvin man what a flash artist

Hey Alvin I wanna personally give you credit for your Super mario bros Z series. You single handed surprised the hell outta me because i was sick of Dragonball z and the flashes here on newgrounds but you are the only person to date to get that combo right. The axem rangers and even a mention of smithy now that's oringinal if i ever saw it before. not to mention they was all edits from Megaman battle network but who's keeping count here lol. The huge royal rumble was wonderful there hasn't been a fight like that in a very very long time. Thank for finally giving yoshi the credit cause lets face it he got his ass kicked on 4 but he did some tough fighting on this one. I can't wait until SMBZ 6. This is not really a suggestion just a random though did you ever think about making a anime introduction? not being picky because that was the best thing i ever saw. I hope to see more from you in the future and thanks so much for proving to me that old things can be good sometimes. I hope your next one is just as badass as this one :)

one word unbefreakenliveable

First off great job on this series it gets better every episode. Second i thank you for not having fights last 20 somthing episodes like in the orginal DBZ. Now then on to the review.

Graphic: though they are sprites the animation is flawless the way that they fight and use objects is great (namly the spears and hammer).

Style: Unbeliveable story and ideas. I have no idea where you got the axem ranger sprites but thank you for imputing from in my opinion the greatest mario game ever (mario rpg was the shit)

Sound: the music and combat effectswere outstanding and well timed fantastic.

Violence: Fight scenes will never be duplicated they were that good

Humor: the professer was funny but when Luigi fell of the plane was hilarious.

Overall: Overall it wasin the top 3 for best sprite movies every concived (funny all three are Mario movies). i give it a outstanding 10/10 fantastic work.

Superb Craft

When I first saw the first episode of this, I thought it was another big parody of Mario, and in some ways, it is. I don't even like DBZ all that much, yet, I know you got the basis off of it, but this is the definition of imagination.

Your hard work and creativity really show in this series. I am very impressed at what you managed to do, especially the story line. Yes, we heard it before, save the world. You however, tell it in such a way that it has not been told this well in a long time. Mood, time, and a lot of subtle effects truly make the difference.

Well done.
