Gain skills and experience as you fight to survive in a city filled to the brim with walking dead. Project Validus: Survival is a zombie blasting game which comes equipped with a sizeable arsenal of zombie owning weapons.
How long can you survive?
If the dimensions of the game are too big for your screen, increase your screen resolution.

This is my first game, I spent about 6 months learning the glorious actionscript while I made it.
Story mode is coming some time in the future.

Special thanks to Bobothehippo for his menu art and Mr Mo for sponsorship.

First Timer?

That really isn't bad for your first time. I would suggest not implimenting the brawn skill without it functioning though. I understand it'll be in the completed version, but pretend you didn't think of it. Also, the shotgun is underpowered in my opinion. I was doing more damage with my pistol at times than i was with the shotgun. In any case, good job.

Great game

Great game. Not without its flaws but still great.

Graphics: They do the job
Style: Shooter with some small RPG elements
Sound: I thought the sound was good and the music was great. I think you should be able to change music tracks in game.
Violence: Good amount of blood without going over the top.
Interactivity: I'd like to see the zombies being blown away by the gernades.
Humor: If there's something funny in this game then I havent seen it yet.
Overall: Great game that can only get better

Pretty good time killer

This is a pretty good game, keys are pretty much standard, the graphics are ok (coulda used a few variations of the diffrent types of zombies) violence is about what you would see back in 1997 or so (looked kinda like the infantry fire from c&c) sound was adequate though the songs were decent and fit the game situation. style... eh the overhead shooter has been done quite a bit. interactivity was great, upgrades for your character (though the pistol is kinda rigged when upped high enough "one shot, one kill") humor... really dosent apply here, its a zombie survival game after all. overall i gave you an 8 because the game was good, somewhat addictive (though the graphics maxed on a slower computer tends to make it like bullet time when enough zombies accumilate.) and overall just plain fun to play. especially on hard.

:) glad you liked it.

Viva la 1997!

This is VERY addicting! ..But...

The maps are a bit too small.
The zombies latching on to you, there needs to be a way to knock them off.

Maybe add a few more varying character appearances on the zombie side.

And last of all make this into a storylined game with the same side option of the survival mode!

LOVE IT! Great music too!

Great, but a little word of advice

Not everyone uses a qwerty-keyboard, there are people, myself among them, who use azerty. For those people it is damn near impossible to control the character, as the w-,a-,s- and d- keys are not placed like they are on a qwerty-board.
This game rocks, and I'd like to play it without having to break my fingers in order to make my character walk.
What I'm trying to say is, that maybe you could add customizable controls or make it so the character can also be controlled by means of the arrow keys (which everyone can use). It would greatly improve the quality of my experience with your awesome game.
