Difficult but fun

it's hard to win anything actually, you should have some hints for people like me who are very slow in solving puzzles.

Among the best of its genre since "the days*"

*"The Days" = The days of all those good old point'n'click games.

With a fairly good length, a good effort on the graphical side, a fine plot, and some friendly, yet still mind-wriggling riddles, I give this an overall 10.

I admit I usually lose my patience sooner or later in point'n'click games today, so I end up doing everything right after a walkthrough, or simply give up. Though, if they're really cathcy, I keep on playing, mostly lashing myself with a whip to keep myself thinking instead of peeping in all those stupid, spoiling walkthroughs.
Hewitt is one of the last category of point'n'clicks (the catchy ones).

One thing that I especially like about Hewitt is that the riddles are not too easy, yet most of them are very logical. I can imagine that a common pitfall when making point'n'clicks is the tendency of making illogical or too far out sollutions for everything in order to keep up the necesary level of mind-wriggling. Such as combining things with other things for finally getting a "Golf-Ball-Retriever with a Severed Hand holding a Magnet" or something else that makes absolutely no sense to the player before it suddenly comes in handy in some obscure way.
This game pretty much avoid this. I'd actually say the riddles are better than those of the classic point'n'clicks they made back in "the days".

Thanks for delivering my, so far, best experience on NewGrounds.

NB: I gave it a rating of 2 for its violent content. This is for the cute little bunny that is run over by a car, and the scene in which Hewitt chops off the head of a pig in the kitchen. Always keep a little bit of meaningless violence in games, else they're not worth playing ;)

I love adventure/mind games, but that one wasn't nearly as hard as hapland. It was so funny when that girl melted, or when he made a pig fly! LOL!!! Lmao!! And the pig fly was at the end too. This is definatly a 10/10. I wish they made more games like this one. Keep up the good work Chris Gianelloni!!
