The Origin of the Hair

Please watch the whole thing before voting. Okay, it's been a long time, but I'm back, and I'm taking on a whole new format. What you're about to see is a traditional hand-drawn, hand-colored animation filmed using a regular camera. Every bit of motion was drawn frame by frame, as in no computer assistance in making the cartoon. This has taken me 7 long months to finish, and during that time I worked almost everyday, so a LOT of work went into this. Everything was drawn and animated by me, and almost evrything was colored (minus about 30 frames in the whole thing). This is my first real animated cartoon, I have no training in animation, so it's an amateur peice at best. Hope you all enjoy. Thanks again to mackproductions.net for Flash help and icon.

Did you know that back "in the time of knights, kings, queens, et cetera" your barber was also your local surgeon?

That would've gotten a 10, but the sound was really irritating and too loud. The animation and drawing was superb, though.

Great to see hand drawn animation come alive again

This was a breath of fresh "hair" in as a sea of many lost gigabytes! I feel that animators are using the computer so often because it's there and have not fully explored other avenues available to them. You have quietly taken the other route...and successfully! Congratulations! I'll be looking forwarding to enjoying your next submission! Bravo and Keep up the good work!

this is way better than my movie. thank you for the review on it. i like how this is traditionaly animated, not flash. thats what makes this movie unique. very well done. 4/5

NoComicsComics responds:

Heh, thank you very much, that is very nice of you to say. Your video was excellent, and I hope to see more from you soon. Again, thank you for the review, and I'm glad you liked my cartoon.

pretty cool d00d, was that watercoloured?!?!? did you really draw on paper for this one d00d/!!??!????

pretty silly btw!

NoComicsComics responds:

Well, the markers I used I think were water-based, something like that. Yes, I drew it all on paper and used the light box to place the papers down so I could film them. Thanks for the review.
