2006-07-12: edit. Took about 10 min. to sort the highscore problems. Also made highscore show in-game. Note to others - don't initialise all your variables on the frame you go to when you replay.

If match-3 games and mousegames got it off, this might be their child.

Let me know your top score and any specific thoughts you have. I appreciate all thoughtful reviews and respond to all.

Shapes rain down and you must eliminate them before they reach the bottom. Touch a shape to highlight it. Touch shapes of the same type to highlight them simultaneously. When you've gotten at least 3 highlighted, click the mouse to eliminate them.

You can wait to highlight up to 6, to get more points.

I think above 200 pts is a good score, over 250 is grand and over 300 is great. My top score so far is 414.

Took me 3 hours to make. Idea sparked by Miquette.

Good game

I like it. Sound effects for selection and mouse clicking away objects would help, i think. Also, it's too easy to sweep my mouse over the objects without selecting them. I suggest altering the mouse move event to select not only objects under the mouse at the time of the event, but also objects located between the current and last mouse positions.

Cheers for the suggestions. I was thinking about sfx for later, but don't wanna take away from the bgm...

I'll definitely be interpolating the mouse positions for the next version.

needs more

i would like to see something where you can adjust the quality and speed of the shapes. it was a good game though. props.

Adjust the quality? Not sure what you mean.

I probably won't bother with difficulty levels if that's what you're getting at re: speed. I kinda think that even in the final version, it'll be too simple to bother with difficulty levels and I'd be better off trying to work out something where everyone can compete on one high score table.

I liked it in a weird way....

It seemed to attract me i liked it i dont know why though i cant explain it but good creation for a first time creator!

I like it

I like it, but 2 things.

"Garners more points" on the pre-game menu, I think you mean "gains".

Make the instructions a bit clearer, at first all I was doing was highlighting the shapes without clicking, then figured it out afterwards.

garner 2 verb trans (garnered, garnering) 1 to collect (e.g. evidence or information) ... 2 /archaic/ to gather or store (e.g. grain)

Still, if the instructions are unclear, maybe I should use simpler language.

the game was good i had 140 pts, but the highscore doesnt work so good, cuz first i had 140 then after plaing it again i got 60 and high score showed 60 yet my highscore was 140

Yeah... I noticed that when I was re-testing it on NG before bed. Dunno what went wrong there...
