Remember what it was like as a kid in the 80s? Remember Voltron and Hungry Hungry Hippos? Are you still a kid?

This is a song not only about geeks, but about all humanity.

Remember those students at school who sat down the front, did their homework and joined the student council? Taunted. Rejected. Disillusioned. They now seek revenge in the form of the Gold Coast hip hop crew, The Winnie Coopers.

Not bad, Ken ;)

I like the humour in the flash, and how it is very true. HOWEVER, I still feel the vectored images could be of a better quality (I can't really talk as I suck some awful at flash). Overall, a good job with the flash. At least it's not like those "videos for stupid little kids who always come on this site" :P.

I saw this on Rage last night!

Great to see a flash on the music video program Rage. I'm actually trying to get one of my music videos made for a band (RACQ Man) on Rage right now. Got any hints for getting it on there?

As for the movie itself, its pretty damn funny. The song is perfect for a flash, I actually heard on triple j awhile back and was like "that'd make an awesome flash". And it does. Kudos to ya!

Thanks for the feedback, dude. Check your PMs for an answer to your question.

I liked it a lot, but mostly for the song

This was a great cartoon. The graphics were quirky and likeable. The animation went well with the song, and it had a lot of humorous elements that made me laugh. It was excellent. The song, however, is really what makes this cartoon memorable. Nevertheless, I have to admit that the first time I watched this cartoon, I was at work, and the computer there doesn't have sound. With that in mind I actually laughed pretty hard, even if I didn't know what was going on. This is quality stuff. It only loses points because a lot of credit goes the the musicians who wrote the song.

kennsj responds:

Thanks, Xolenta. Particularly for taking the time to watch it twice.

I'm glad you give more credit to the song than the animation, as this is the official music video for "Geek Manifesto" - the intention is to highlight and "sell" the song.

Make sure you click on the links at the end of the animation and check The Winnie Coopers out!

Geeky Girl loves her collector cards...

see garbage pail cards started my down hill spiral to geekdom....seeing this made me laugh. The song is wonderful and to true, but the animation needs a little work. The animation did express the song's story..."hungry hippos...and candy land...SORRY!" well thanks for the lil jaunt down memory lane....I will keep an eye on this band and this animator...

hope to see more like this.

kennsj responds:

Glad you enjoyed it.

Please check out the other work I have submitted here on Newgrounds before judging the quality, though. I've made a bit of a departure from my usual style with this one...

Geeks rule!
