Wow, frontage again,Thanks Tom!
Alright, this movie will make some people cry. Let's face it. The world is not perfect. Tragedies happening everyday; however, not every tragedies crush our hearts. After we suffered pains, we go on. This story took place in Wuhan, 1938. Partially based on a real story.

----For those who believed there is too much advertising in this movie, I apologize and will keep them at a minimum in the future.

Not bad.

I liked that the beginning tied in with the end. It was definitely well thought out. My favorite part of the animation was when the child was reflecting, you blended the flashbacks well when he was with his mother in the valley. It definitely stayed linear, and was something that is relatively rare at newgrounds.

I think the biggest problem was that it was very hard not to sit here and day dream. After awhile it became tiresome just to read. I would definitely suggest using voices if you are capable. It isn't really enjoyable to be forced to read and try to watch it at the same time, and make sure that you can read it at a fast enough pace to keep up with the story and comprehend it. Secondly, you should have used a different song the second time around, especially since when you went into silence it seemed like it was going into the conclusion. At the end, it makes the viewer second guess their self because there is a fear that maybe that song would start again and it wasn't the end.

Overall it was good, but I think it just needs some polishing and then it would be excellent.

Very touching

You've got a knack for telling touching stories. You have a very simple style that gets the point across. For your use, I think the style is working, but I'd like if you had switched up the music
((it was a good song, but the way that it was put into the flash made it feel detached during its second playthrough; if you had picked up the pace with the flash so that the story only took up one song, it would have been better, but I know this is hard to do))
and made it so the story didn't have the appearance of a flip-book. Kinda reminded me of the end of Taegukgi. Very touching. Good job.

This was great!

To anyone reviewing: Just so everyone is on the same page, most or all of Chinese people are Han dynasty decendants (so you're not special if you consider yourself one) and secondly the Japanese invaded China approximately two years before the U.S. entered the World War II, so yes there were invaders in China in 1938. So yes, I believe this story is based on a real-world occurence.

To the author: I thought that this story was very heart touching, I've enjoyed some of your other works and they all do a good job of observing our humanity. However, I have to agree with some of the other reviewers on this, the music should not have been reused and the graphics needs improving.

The end was predictable.

I won't say what the end was just incase, but it was somewhat predictable. On the other hand I thought it was a good flash, somewhat depressing (though I can't see why anyone would cry over it). Though I must say, you need to make more HAPPY flashes for a change ^-^. And I wanna ask what are the songs from this flash and the 1001 wishes flash. Cause they sound really cool. Anywho keep up the good work, I'm lookimg forward to seeing if you can make a happy flash ^-^.
