This episode marks the conclusion of the Dr. Shroud series, “The Boy in the Box”. If you haven’t seen the first two episodes, you should probably do that at some point to fully understand the background. They can both be seen on Newgrounds:

“The Boy in the Box” as a whole series has revealed a lot of what comprises Dr. Shroud and his world. Looking to the future, I will not be producing these separate mini-series’, but rather a string of related one shot episodes that explore and unravel Dr. Shroud as he searches for his daughter and confronts the past. Currently I am at work on “Skeletons”, a 5 minute self-contained story which does that very thing.

You say this film concludes a three part series? As far as I know it didn't up the ante or answer any questions at all, leaving you with even more questions than before and an empty feeling inside. This really isn't the time to be moving onto other things, not when Shroud has a bitter vendetta against the (very poorly explained) box boy.

I think your animation and style are really something special, your talent truly speaks for itself but you must dedicate yourself to writing a story before you animate, otherwise you'll wind up with a "Brackenwood" on which, animation is entirely reliant.

I'll tell you what, I'm a semi-porfessional writer with a few novels and screenplays under my belt and I've always wanted to write a flash movie; if you would consider it, I could write a Shroud vignette for you, all I'd ask in return is a partial credit of the finished film.

Woo! Dr. Shroud ROCKS!!!

I love this series. I can see from this one that you're a bit new to actual action fights, that's ok, it improves with practice. The backward voiced cultists was a nice touch, and the underacting Dr. Stephen Hawking mixed with Adam West was very much amusing.

pretty origional

i liek dit, it was sort of a cross between the 1930s horror flicks and that whoel scifi horror genra, it had a sort of dectetive liek quality at times. it was very origional and refreshing to see somthig liek this in todays falsh media.

however, there wehre some flaws. for example, dr. shrouders voice acting was pretty monotone, and nto at all emotional. i could se ehwa tyou r wher edoign if you meant to have it liek that, but it stil didnt coem off that well. i kept thinking "this is what adem west woudl sound like constipated." the plot was confusing, especialy the ending episode. did he kill his past self, adn was that the boy? was that his inner child, or was that realy his old teacher taking on his form as he died? clarification man, thats what this needs!

all and all, it was an orignional pice of work adn a fun ride, but when the day is done it coudl definetly use a little work. but, it also has its own flavor, so dotn change it too much. just get a better voice actor man.

otherwise, nice job.

"Not her you devil" :o

My favorite part was when what's-his-face spoke with such enthusiasm. The voice acting was not so hot.. But the movie was good.
