Art Antics Beta

This short film shows what paintings do when no one is looking. This is a beta. The full movie will not be ready anythime soon.

This was originally made as my final project in college back in spring quarter of 2004 and is my first considerable Flash movie. I didn't want to submit this at first because the audio kept going out of sync, but then I doscovered that all my audio was set for Stream instead of Event! A couple of adjustments later, this movie is working fine. I hope you enjoy my first Flash movie. Constructive critism is welcome. If this movie stinks, don't say so and then not tell me why.

Nicely Done!

Wow! It's been over 3 and a half years since I've seen a new review on this cartoon. I'm very glad to hear that you enjoyed this animation and thank you very much for the great review! :)

Made me chuckle uncontrolably.

It was very cute. NOTE I am no less of a man for writing "cute" I just felt that it was that and was deserving of that title. I await pationatly for the whole shebang.

Thank you very much for the review and I'm glad you liked the show! I hope to have the full version up here one of these days, but it may take a year or more for completion.

This was interesting

The graphics in this flash weren't bad. OK, the drawings on that art picture weren't like amazing or anything, but graphics don't really matter much. The animation in this flash was good. The sound, you've used the right music for this flash. Good voices in this flash and the sound effects were used well.

This flash, it was interesting and funny. The start of the flash with the objects (air, not a clue and ?!?) gave me a laugh. The part with the objects in the picture moving and doing some crazy things made me laugh as well. At the end, the sneeze. I got a good laugh from this flash. Good work.

I'm glad you got a laugh out of this. The gem cases and names have made a lot of people laugh, especially my former classmates. This movie helped secure an A for me in a Flash class at college. The explosion was rather fun to mix since it's 4 different sounds all thrown into one. Thanks for the review and I'm glad you liked my film!

not bad and fairly original

an alright flash, was well done and the starting and ending credits were nice but some of the voives were a bit anoying. i guesse i dident find it that funny but meh thats just me.....

Yeah! Excellent Twist on Painting!

I have been waiting a LOOOOONG time for this kind of flash: what would painting be like if it is alive?

I am soooo happy that this came out because this is SO damn funny! The way that all painting tiles interact with each other and messing up their arranging are HILARIOUS! I just got to keep this in my favorite! Why, cause I am an artist and I say 5/5!

Also, I like the little details you made about the gems! Silly!
What I hope for is that you incorporate other famous painting and make them alive! Or maybe you will do one per flash? I cant wait for more!

I think you'll be pleased to know that this is just a beta and that the real movie is going to be vastly superior. The only trick is that it will take a long time to complete it. I estimate that the full version will be over 12 minutes long. If you like funny stop-motion animation, please be sure to check out my other entries. Yes. The gems have gotten quite a few laughs from people. My classmates just loved this one and it secured a A for me in the Flash class. Thanks for the review and I'm glad you loved my film!
