why was it a Japanese song? And the game sucks.
Chapter one of a hack and slash game based on a post-nuclear role playing game.
All the voices were done by me (even the girl's, yes) for reasons i don't think i have to explain, so forgive me for that. ;-)
Tips:
1. try hitting the general from behind to easily take off his helmet.
2. You can move even while maintaining "Hayai Hari Kuri-kaeshi" (W or S)

it was....................nothing special.....
Needs a LOT of work.
Based on Fallout...no. I see nothing even remotely related to fallout (other than the destroyed San Fransico, which I do NOT see the cult ran by porn stars.) Whats with the music also? In case you didn't notice, pop wasn't really "present" when the nuclear holocaust happened, therefore, why is it here? The idea of samurai in Fallout blows my mind, mainly because you'd die in less than a second from being sawn in half by a Super-Mutant's minigun. I know you're not trying to make a flash version of Fallout (God damn me if I do.) I'm not saying it's a bad game, I'm just saying that if you're going to make a game based off of the greatest game ever made, you could at least make it somewhat like the original (Ya know, use Action Points instead of hack and slash, because hack and slash will ruin it.)
Oh, and one more thing, Asians wouldn't last long in Post-Apocalyptic USA because HELLO, CHINA NUKED US TOO! As soon as those pesky sword wielding chinamen set foot on our shores The Master would chuck 'em into a fat of some FEV virus.
They never listen to Ol' Lumpy
Goddamn that Corvega.
This is not a finished game
There are many things wrong with this game. Don't get me wrong, it isn't hopeless, but this looks like a crappy first version that will later be much improved upon. I hope.
The problems I saw:
WTF is happening in the game? All I knew that was happening was that I was invincible because I kept moving, and that once in awhile I'd kill a guy (of whom there are very, very few). I never knew when I was facing the general wether or not I was hitting him, or if I was taking damage (is there a life total, or is it just one hit and you're dead?). There is a lot going on, not necessarily like in other games, and very little explanation, all in a very short time. Confusing. Make it longer, give more explanations. And explain wtf the S and W key does, anyways.
Also, it may just be firefox, but I often barely saw my character. The beginning of the game lagged as well (but then went back to full speed chaos).
It's not that fallouty. It's mostly small details that seem weird... Why am I a samuraï in Fallout? Why do I start in San francisco with no armor (yet no fear of the enclave...). Where's the near-obligatory 50's references (except for fallout boy, obv)?
Graphics, sounds, and other effects were generally low quality. When the old man got shot I first thought it was the sound of a vertibird approaching and not a machine gun.
Fallout Boy with a sword: That alone was worth one of the points I gave you. He could be drawn better, but fallout boy with a sword is cool. Please keep and/or improve :P
Once you get something decent, you might want to tell No Mutants Allowed (big post-apoc, especially fallout, news site, which you may know about). I woudn't even think of it right now, as the critics would cut you apart (they say Fallout fans are the worst fans that ever existed, and your animation is not that good to start with...). But maybe once you get a better version.
Anyways, I'll be looking forward for the next part/version, despite my criticism this time (I'm really not such a bad guy all the time. Really!).
I'm also hoping we get to shoot stuff later.
Of course this isn't a finished game. The story is supposed to progress slowly so you aren't meant to understand anything in the first part. The story is set years further from fallout two where 50's music have been replaced by post-modern pop, the contending martial artists in san fran are replaced by trendy scavenging asia-trasg in a land that become nothing more but ruins. The samurai of course is an idea i love to see in fall-out and mind you, it's not supposed to resemble the actual game. About the sound, aside from the fact that i'm no voice talent, i can't find anyone (in this outworlder state that i am in) so i had to use my voice not just in the characters but also in the guns (except for the desert eagle and the power fist). Well, thank you for a very substantial review. You will be able to shoot stuff later but i doubt the sound will ever change for a loooong while. ;-)
