the ford model t was a car that my friend and i did a project on,
sorry about the sound, you just have to turn your speakers up,
i cant make it any louder from this end
the reason for this is that we had no microphone so we struck apon the ingenious advice of our friend the messiah of sound who told us that headphones work as microphones if you plug them into the microphone port... and it worked

not bad

it was an alright animation. pretty cool for a school project..... i wish i had one of those original cars. they may not be the best looking cars, but they would be worth some awesome money.

I think some people...

...are being a little too harsh on this cartoon. You have to remember this was created as a school project and as such I feel you should vote on it according to how well it covered the author's goal. While it could have been more funny in some ways you can't go all out in school. However, I think it could have been better if you would have shown some of the facts slower, it was pretty much impossible to see them all. Good job overall.

Sorry man.....

....But people just don't really want to know about a ford car. Use yuor talent to make a better flash.

Just a few corrections...

The weight of the early T's was 1200 lbs., not 1200 somethingmetric.
The weight of 1200lb and $850 are 1909 figures, while you used a 1920 to 1924 Model T in your movie. The 20-24 coupe (pictured) had a selling price of $745-525 between 20&24 and weighed 1760lbs in those years.
The lowest price for the T was $260 in 1924-1926.

Displacing 176 cubic inches (2.9 L) the engine was actually quite large considering that it is a 4-cyl. How many I-4 engines have you seen over 2.5L in the last 30 years?

In the list of features you say that it came with a "Cooling Gear driven centrifugal pump", which is partially true. Only the first 2,500 1909 T's came with a pump, all the other 15 million T's from 1909 to 1927 came with a Thermosyphon Cooling System.

Suprised to see that you picked up on the "Southern" wheelbase, which was only offered in the South to conform to the wagon trails. Suprised you picked up on that down there.

There is so much history with this car that you could easily add more material to this movie.

The graphics could have been a little more refined than they were, but for the purpose of this movie they work.

And please spend the $2 to get a microphone.

theredemtionator responds:

WOW! you really know your Fords
yeah the facts were just ripped off some website and we really didn't put any effort into that side of things, just because we sat in class for 4 weeks doing bugger all
and then with 15 mins before the end of our second last class we thought

CRAP!! what are we going to do for our project

so we grabbed his headphones and my computer and just made it up with a sheet of facts from the internet, then i went home and animated it....

a bit of a rush job

Nice!

Its nice to see educational flashes once in a while.Model T was a cornerstone for the automobile industry and generally industrial economics of the 20th century.First mass production car. This was a nice tribute to the car.
