To answer many "angry" people, no, this is not roto-scoped, this is drawn from working with fencers, memorizing the fight, and watching the movie and pausing it from a TV, this is why many of the movements are sloppy. Finally a submission that glorifies Star Wars, I'm sorry, but i'm tired of seeing fat kids try and fight with lightsabers in their backyards. The main thing to notice about this is the frame-by-frame animation. I wanted to try and do something that appeared "water color esc" but actually have to draw it by frames. I would encourage anyone taking on flash to learn how to take your time and draw frame-by-frame because I'm sick of flash animators who have a character float past the screen and claim they "animate". So I chose to animate something fun, STAR WARS, this is part 2, part 1 is missing in an old computer and part 3 isnt done. Anyway, Enjoy!

Good job.

I like the work. I do have to admit, looks very much like the movie, but hey, it looks good. I like your style too. I see good things happening with you. Keep it up! Later~ T

Good job!

Really nice animation, liked the style of the drawings seemed to stand out, but one thing i noticed. dint you use the scenes and trace them or something cause they fighting stances are exactly like in the movie so did you draw over em and took each picture by picture?

thanks for the review, sorry it took so long to repley, EMPIRE STRIKES BACK, was not rotoscoped (traced over) the fighting was learned by myself and a fencing budy, the fight was memorized and the fight was watched thousands of times, the base of the animation was the sound, this is how i knew when they hit and wat not. If i had the movie to trace it would have ended up looking way better. this is the closest i could get. thanks again

Not bad

Its not bad. However it looks like you traced the frames from the actual movie. Even if you did, it still looks good.

good job!

really well done! graphics rock, sound rocks, only 2 little things that that I canb say something about, the length of the movie and the animation, it's a bit framy...

it deserved the 5 just for the ambition and the ideal. how many frames did that entail? magnificently done. i would love to see more submissions by yourself like this on newgrounds, and they can only get better. thank you.
