Life's a gamble...

Very nicely animated, apart from the aforementioned lack of backgrounds, but slightly stunted movie. It all seemed to happen a bit too quick...and don't get me wrong...I usually applaud short, concise movies but I thought something was left unsaid here. Was it inspired by Kipling; did the young gambler learn a valuable lesson; was the quote at the end meant to be sarcastic (ie no-one ever 'walks away')...it is never adequately explained...and neither is it mysterious nor enigmatic enough to be satisfactorily confusing/thought-provoking! Having said that...the use of music was suitably cheesy...I don't know what that man's snot had to do with anything but it did make me smile (the first time). Overall a well made film. Just not enough to it.
