!NOTICE! Please do not blam because you do not understand

Finally, I have finished Flight of Colour 2. This has very little relation to my first Flight of Colour movie, except it is yet another emotional flash. If you're not a fan of deep thinking, please do not vote low because you don't understand.

This has taken me a couple of months to do, on and off. I hope you all enjoy watching this as much as I enjoyed making it.

why did he have to kill her i mean it didnt really make sense to me

RoobyKillAll responds:

lol, I sure hope you didn't vote low just because you didn't understand. I'd explain it to you... but if you didn't understand the flash, it'd be even harder for me to explain with words.

Good Job!

I love these deep flash animations, they really make you think. Plus the animation isn't that bad, which is a plus to getting the message by. I hope to see more of your work in the future.

RoobyKillAll responds:

Thanks for the good review, Vegeton ^_^. I'm taking a break from flash for a couple days before I start onto my next project though. lol.

The animation was well done, however I have a few qualms about the whole thing. First off, don't label your film as emotional... that comes off cheesy-sounding, almost like you're trying too hard. I'm as much a fan of the more thought-provoking, emotionally driven plot as you are, but I wouldn't label one of my films that way.

Also, the subtitle font was too Times New Roman looking to me. It didn't fit well with the hand drawn look of the rest of the film, and neither did the white boxes around the text. Maybe try throwing a black border on the bottom of the screen where you display the subtitles?

A few of the sound effects could have been chosen better as well. The blood drop hitting the ground sounded like a vial of liquid being broken open. A better sound would have been just a light pattering noise. The footsteps also sounded like they were in some huge hallway in a castle where the acoustics give off a lot of reverberation. You could have gone with no sound for the footsteps or used a bit of a flatter sound for it.

Anyway, that's my critique. Good work anyway, keep it up.

RoobyKillAll responds:

I agree with you on how I labeled it. But I was afraid of getting the flooded blams because people watch it not realizing it's genre. I'd much rather alert these sort of people before they watch it...

As for the subtitles, I really wish yo had gotten a hold of me before I submitted this. lol, those are great ideas. I agree, it is too Times New Roman for this... but oh well.

Some of the sound effects were poorly chosen I'll also admit. I did the best I could with my resources, as I am new to flash and don't know many good sites for sound effects. I'm sure I could've googled it, and well, I did. So I just used for them. But yeah... the blood dripping was a bad sound effect. I tried to find something more appropriate for it, but the softer sounds I found were drowned out by the music.

Anyways, thanks for the good review.
